    Korean sagu rule question

Let's take it easy guys. I certainly was never offended by any comments and value hearing from mr3 . Let's close the thread and start afresh .

    Korean sagu rule question

Please walk into your local club and play this somewhat makable shot - if the opponent objects ask them to produce the rule in writing..

    Korean sagu rule question

Definitely as is in by a person who plays it a lot so that I can code it. Let's go as far as saying I'm not believing it unless typed by the hand of a Korean national. Please attach passport number.

    Korean sagu rule question

I believe @mr3cushion has cleared up the rules on three cushion nicely - but on sagu I'm still not sure (since there are 2 red balls) Standard break off is like 3C (video) but I've seen ppl online trying this other way and I want to know definitively.

    Korean sagu rule question

Hi, If anyone knows for sure, please let me know, in Sagu 4-ball can you break off using the red beside the cue ball ? Actually in three cushion could you do that also? Thanks, Luke

    Small games for a year

Hmm, I have final shot must be 3 cushion not first, that fits my memory of Carom3d. I need to add the penalty points, that sounds like it's non standard in Korea. Thanks. It's certainly not as easy as I imagined when playing, the poison ball is tricky to keep out of play and gathering shots in...

I've started adding 4ball Sagu rules, but not exactly sure how fouls work. E.g if you accidentally hit opponents ball without making a point do you get penalised a point or just pass the turn? Internet has surprisingly little on this in English.

I wanted to try this out, and I went to the extreme of 5ft table - it is very cute, balls the size of melons (as Blomdahl said) , a table like this I could fit in my home. It feels easier for sure, but I'm not entirely convinced it is much easier, I quickly ran into kiss problems.

Fascinating, I added a proximity scoring system in my simulator to make it easier for beginners, all along I just needed to shrink the table :)

    Three cushion exam

That is a great score! I put the test together and my one shot score is only ~60% so I'm impressed. Hope you guys post some high runs or play online - the current best run is 36 (with 3 points per shot its a run of ~12 but still amazing). The table plays quite nice but the final cushion always...

    Small games for a year

That's really interesting @erriep , I'd never thought about it before. I'm now considering adding a 9ft table to my simulator - but would probably do the Korean 4 ball game (in desperate attempt to attract good Korean players). I've never played that but after seeing some videos might just...

I've only played on 10 foot tables, are smaller tables easier? Do the balls scale down also?

Are you (AZers) 4balls or 3C players???

I am a 3Cer, love the way the ball holds spin off cushions and the impossible nature of it. But no local table so just play online these days.

    Three cushion exam

Thats good feedback, its very hard to judge. Try dragging mouse back to raise height. Numpad +/- also does that and keys 1,2,3,4 adjust field of view. I think in pool and snooker players are down on the cue more, for three cushion maybe the default should be further back and higher. Thanks.

    Speedrun - open source

Thanks @kling&allen , I have used some maths from drDave in this paper . There is also another very good open source project on github called PoolTool , it has superior maths accuracy and lots of contributors.
