I used Pyro for a year of so before V10. And while I think Pyro is a fine chalk, V10 is better in every way. I have had no issues like you described. I do, however, wipe my tip of chalk before returning it to the case.

I had observed that Shane's right elbow is off plane, like many shooters. What I noticed on this video is he actually realigns his elbow to on-plane as he prepares for his final stroke. Amazing. I have never seen a player move his elbow that direction. Mostly, it goes the other way.

I have the same wrap and love it. It's grippy, without being at all sticky. Requires no maintenence and feels terrific. Super durable, too. As good or better, grip-wise, is a wrapless cue. Having a towel handy is good advice.

I can't argue with Buddy Hall. But I'm surprised no one has mentioned Mike Segal or Jim Rempe. Both outstanding position players.
