The hoppe ring in was not part of my original design. Tony added it and I love it. Think the ivory joint would dress the cue up more. As for the veneer window its great for a nameplate. The plug at the butt would be very hard with the wedge flatter like the old style. Then again I may just put...

Thank you for the nice comments. It's a good hitting cue. A little on the soft side, but that could be due to the new style micarta ferrules. Gonna send it back to Tony to switch out the joint to ivory, flatten out the wedge more and put a boxed veneer window opposite the wedge in the backend...

As far as the cue design is concerned I really don't know what Paul had in mind. I have been told that the forearm is a Palmer model 19 3rd catalog. The mop inlays in the joint are something you don't see everydy. The cue originally had a buttcap to match the color of rest of the linen...

I had the cue refinished and rewrapped by Paul Drexler (PFD cues). I went with the cork for a few reasons. One being that I have not seen alot of them. The other reason is that I have eczema on my hands. My skin condition helped to destroy lizard and leather wraps I had on this cue and others...
