    Staining the forearm

What brand of stain can you use on a maple forarm? I have tied different stains and I can not get the stain to penetrate the wood. The cue has been sanded down to bare wood but won’t take stain at all?

    Glasses

I’ve been wearing glasses for years and I use an older metal frame and bend/shape them so that when I bend down over a shot, I don’t see the top part of the rim and it works well.

I have a expensive TS custom designed by me and I can’t explain why but I would rather my daily shooter be a SP. I just prefer a SP over customs. It might have something to do with not having to worry about it getting beat up in the heat of battle over time.

Bob Frey working with Tim Scruggs

Yeah I read that, but it doesn’t give any real dates when Bob started or left Tim’s shop. So the question is.....was Bob working in Tim’s shop in 1986-1989 if so, did he work on bar cues while there? I started going to Tim’s shop in the early 90’s and only dealt with Tim and Mike and didn’t see...

Bob Frey working with Tim Scruggs

So I have an older Scruggs Sneaky Pete and trying to see if there is a chance that Bob made/worked on this cue back then, and did Bob work on SP in TIm’s Shop? Can anyone tell me the years Bob worked at Tim shop. Thanks!

Good eye. That is a one of a kind made in 1991. Made back when Tim and Mike were working at the meat locker shop. Memories...of the good old days!

Need help to ID this cues

Thanks everybody for replying. Not sure what this thing is. I do know that the diameter of the butt end is really big compared to today standards.

Need help to ID this cues

I have no idea who made the cues. I only know that my father bought it in Washington DC in the late 60’s.

Not sure. Someone said black palm and it could be. I bought this cue during a tournament in PA. It was in a display case so the sale person didn’t know much about it. I will say this, it’s not the most attractive wood but man does it hit well.

Actually I do love to buy SP cues, I don’t know why. I had more but sold some along the way. All of the SP’ s were bought in the early to mid 90’s.
