Help Identify This Cue Please!

I don't think that is exactly the same cue. However, if the one pictured from you is made in Taiwan, then where are these cues available? I would like to see one in person.
Sorry, I am from Singapore.
If you are coming to Singapore, send me a pm.

Hi, do you think is this the same cue as yours?
(Sorry, my photography skill is not as good as yours. I tried to take it at the same angle for easy comparison)

If it is, this is a taiwan made cue.
It comes with 2 shafts.
But I do not know who is the cue maker.

Do you know where you bought yours, and how are you sure it's Taiwan?

I have to admit ... the cue you have has some specific characteristics that are identical. I sure can't believe that is Taiwan though. I mean... it's just too darn clean of work.

Hi, I took a picture of the bumper and weight bolt, is it the same as yours??

I bought it from a pro shop in Singapore.
They imported the cues from Taiwan.
There used to be a series of it.
And since they don't have a brand and don't know who is the cuemaker, in Singapore, we named them as "Taiwan Limited Run Custom Cue".

I have been buying, selling and making cues for over 10 years and those guys on the other side have NEVER made something of this level. I don't know how else to say it, but it just looks, feels and plays too good. If you can sell me this for $250 with a case that looks like a Whitten, I'll take a dozen right now.

I'd bet good money this was made by hand, by someone here. There are too many American clues in it.

Have you ever seen an Edwin Reyes cue? His build quality and fit and finish are as good or better than most any I've seen.

To Kevin Lindstrom: Hi, I have received your pm, but your pm is full and I cannot reply you. Please clear your pm so that I can reply you.

taiwanese custom cues... pretty darn good hit and pretty cheap. in general, the veneer work isn't as good as the best american made cues, but decent enough. their inlay work is very good though, gluelines are minimal or non-existent. they make mostly copies of the famous cues with little or slight variations, and almost never mark their names on the cue. the big selling point of their cues is quality for the price you pay... but resale value? ermmmm....:p

If someone can get their hands on these cues, I will gladly buy the first cue on the left in the fourth picture down.

Thank you

I doubt he meant anything personal. He is a cuemaker, and his reasoning for disagreeing with you was the quality and cleanliness of the cue he personally inspected, which do not normally come from Taiwan without any markings.

I think this is the maker of the cue. They used to have more variations of the Southwest.

Hows does yours play?

Thanks,

Very interesting story. Licos, now Tai-Can (Universal) , is the Taiwanese cue factory making cues for labels such as Lucasi, Adam, and others. They have been around for many years.

A few times a year, these cues come up here to ID and fool a lot of people. I've seen this particular cue a few times. They are different enough from the commonly seen KC to throw everyone off:

The Buy It Now price of 6500- NT is about $200 US. This is apparently a premium version of their cues which usually sell for less.

I was just going on what your wife said. lol.

Look, I admitted when I saw the evidence that it was taiwan. The foot is already in my mouth. If you need to push it further down, I suppose you can go ahead. I hope I didn't etch myself in a black book or anything. It was VERY hard to believe, okay?

Yes, you are correct as it turns out. My apology for doubting it, but I have to admit I was snowed.

I paid $243 shipped for it and I got it from eBay from P&C Billiards...it was all in chinese from Tate's link, but I was able to make it out.

I got the ebony and purpleheart SW copy, two shafts...very straight. Cue looks and feels fantastic...really anxious to hit some balls with it, maybe Sunday.
