When I was trapping beaver in south central Montana on one ranch I caught two turtles by the shell , both were very much alive and well other than a 330 body gripping trap was holding them firmly what to do to release them ?
After careful consideration I decided to grab a stick and tap it against the inside of their jaws until they had a firm grasp on it then hurry up and compress both springs and drop them back into the creek to live another day .
I pulled both traps as I didn't want to have to repeat this release again !
The interesting thing about both of these turtles was they had hair like moss growing off of their shells , something I've never seen before or since .
The other thing that was working in my favor was this was in February and the ice was just coming off of the creeks , these were the same creeks the early Mountain men trapped even before the Lewis and Clark Expedition !

or - it could just be full of colors that should be in the box because they are the right colors to complete coloring in pictures for kids coloring books.
