I Want A New Cue

Funny you mention that, I have 2 Tux’s and they are in hiding. 🤐

I’ve seen pics of some monster Tux collections.

They are among my favorite looking cues, not sure why I’ve never really collected them. One of the 2 I have I played with for years.
I don't believe you.

You don't have two but probably 10. LOL

Honest just 2 , a SW and a Cantando , much as I like them for some reason which I can’t explain why I never kept any(I’m certain I’ve bought and sold lots back in the day)

I have a loaded 8pt Barry that’s just Ebony and Ivory that goes into maple so that’s not a proper tux.

Let's say $1,500, give or take. Basically $1,000-$2,000 range.

Joss has a cue or two that look nice but nothing really in Ebony/Bone.
I don’t have anything in that price range however that’s more than enough to find a very good cue. Good luck finding one-they are out there

Just go in the 'WANTED' section and describe what you're wanting. Not rocket science. May not get much action asking here.

Well, I am not having any luck with this next cue purchase. So it looks like I might just go with this one.

Most people speak highly of Joss cues.

That's a nice one. The design will transition much better into the the blank white shaft and odds are it'll be a great player as well. Funny, if that were a Viking or a Mac it'd be around 1500. :ROFLMAO:

I had a beautiful Tim Scruggs Ebony and Ivory box cue that Gary Nolan (Bushwhacker) RIP traded me for a gorgeous Southwest I owned around 2006. Always a nice design combination but I've never kept one as a daily player. I always find some inexpensive cue that seems to outplay the monsters.

When I’m looking for something to use as a player I never consider the price. Gary Nolan was a good guy🙏🏼

If anybody can point me to a cuemaker that can make me a Ebony/Bone cue in the not too distant future you better start pointing. Just about to pull the trigger on another Joss cue.

What the OP wants is called a Tuxedo cue and I use to own one. Not to be confused with fake ivory. Then its not a tuxedo. I try to reserve the tuxedo description for ivory.

It would be great to have one right now since I heard Ebony is/will be banned due to its population reduction. Ivory is already banned. So what we have here is a very desirable cue.

Mine was all ebony decked out with ivory with ivory joints and ferrule. I use to break with it too so the joint was split :( Wished I still had it. Didn't match my clothes but was a pretty good shooter. Decent. Not great.

I had a Mike Sigel custom Tuxedo cue, that I really loved. Really miss that cue.

Most tuxedo cues are in hiding. Very hard to get that combo.

There is one on ebay. A Porper Tuxedo cue. All Ebony and Ivory, I believe. I would be very tempted, if I had the money to buy it.

Not that I condone the useage of ivory in this day and age where we know better... but when I was in Taiwan, I could see a lot of it around, and I imagine a trip there would be easy enough to find someone to source it and put that in a cue for you... Lots of people there still use ivory for things like 'chops' (making a stamp they use for authenticating documents), jewellery and other trinkets. Although it is not technically legal there, it takes about a second of mentioning it before someone excitedly shows you a secret stash they have in a safe hidden under a desk or behind a cabinet... and allthough I have never met a cue maker there, I've met a handful of people with more ivory then I have ever seen...

I believe ZEN cues are from Taiwan. And, other custom cue maker from there, who build SW Style cues.
