Help with thoughts / info about "RIEPER CO." billiards cue?

People know my feeling towards full splice cues.

Those points are great on that cue. Could be a nice project.

Thanks. I think the veneers look really nice, and colorful. Green, Yellow, Red, and Black. I think the wood in the butt, below the points, looks like a nicely figured piece of wood too. Not sure what kind of wood it is though. Wish I knew who made the cue, and how old it is. May have originated in Japan, but not sure.

The cue will stand on its own merits.

Let me know if you decide to sell it.

Thanks a lot.

I will be auctioning it off on ebay sometime next week, and hoping for the best, because I have no clue what a fair price would be. You actually purchased a Murrey / Viking cue from me recently, that you won the bid on, through ebay. So, you will probably be seeing it on ebay, if you often watch what is on there. It will be a 5 or 7 day auction. Thanks.

Thanks. I'll watch for it.

Glad to get the Murrey, but I know I missed a fancier one you had a some point. I saw it in your videos.

Yeah, I had one that I believe was brand new, never played, and it was pretty nice. I think I got very little money out of the cue though, which was surprising.
The brand is obscure. There was another that went cheap. I didn't see it until after it sold. It wasn't identified in the sale at all. I think a lot of people don't know the brand or know that catalog was made by Viking. Earlier Murrey cues were made by others.

I would have loved to have had that one you had that was like new, but that sold befor I came back to cues.

Oh, yeah, and it was a Wico point Viking. I think they are so stunning. I recall that I may have gotten like $250 for the cue. It really looked brand new, and never played. I recall that it had a Murrey hard box case with it too.

It is very rare that I even see Wico point Viking cues for sale online. I think they are pretty rare finds.

And just gave my 3 point Wico veneer cue away. I hardly ever played it.

My oldest daughter always loved that cue and when she got a 7 ft Diamond in her house, it was time to let it go to her.

Wow, that is really cool. The 7 foot Diamond, I mean, not the Wico Viking. Just kidding. That is really cool. I am sure that she will enjoy playing with the cue. They are really good cues, I believe.

The cue was quite fancy and special to me.
But that also describes my daughter.
I have only seen one other like it(the cue).

They're not WICO, but they are vinyl veneers.

I dig vinyl veneers, WICO and Viking.

I have some cool examples like the Murrey, some Gandy, a Viking made Butera, and of course Viking cues. Viking made cues for other brands and also sold parts.

The plain 3 or 4 point with vinyl veneer Viking cues are commonly available. The fancy ones and other brands are much less so.
