World Pool Championships 2025, July 21-26, Jeddah

Looks like they have changed the time for the SVB/Ko qualification-round match. Now 9 pm there (2 pm EDT). On Table 1.

I watched a few min yesterday, all I could think was that MR needs to steal the Ultimate Pool entire shot clock format. Holy hell what a difference that makes. It would instantly make pool twice as popular, for both bangers watching and die hards.

I never in a million years would have said 8 ball is more exciting than the 9 ball world championship. The way Utlimate Pool does it, it is.

End rant for now.

Thanks for that heads up! I would have completely missed it.

Not like any pool fans need to actually schedule anything in advance to watch, none of us have jobs or whatnot. Sigh.

yes! for all the gaffy and quirky rules, ultimate pool has come up with some excellent developments that are helping to move professional pool into the world of big prize money sports competition

Spot on as usual.

I remember watching that with you guys in the other thread. Ultimate Pool was quite refreshing and you can sense the atmosphere through their stream.

Albin looks like he's on his way to take a nap as he strides between columns of sparks to high energy walk-on music.

Is it just me or did Seo Seoa get a crap draw? Maciol right away and now Albin...
There were lots of tough draws. If you're not seeded, you're guaranteed a tough first match. Her second was in the losers' bracket, so not so tough, but then she has to play a seed who lost a second round match.

The depth of the field is fearsome -- forty or fifty players who can beat anyone on a good day. And the young ones, like Manas.
