World Pool Championships 2025, July 21-26, Jeddah

100% agree. It's very strange that praise how good a tournament player Biado is and he clearly has been among the elite players for a long time now. But for some reason, whenever something like one of those long exhibition matches is happening, the usual conversation is that Biado cannot hang with the players who do them. And yet, the people who say that can never give a good reason why.
I do not agree... Since 2017 Biado is always a favorite on any tournament he plays. Three world cup finals, more than 30 titles. News are when he loses prematurely at any competition.

I think you misread my comment. Biado is a top level tournament player and his results show it. I was talking about that he is not put in the conversation when these long exhibition matches take place because according to some, he's not on their level. Or that he would not be favored in any long race exhibition.

What difference does this make? These marathon action matches mean nothing. Greatness is measured in titles, and the Biado resume of titles screams of greatness.

The problem here is the USA guys like Gorst and SVB who probably wouldn't care playing in this. The Asian team is the premiere team in this match since its them versus the rest of the world. Mosconi Cup is like this too. It's USA versus the rest of the world.

Once you have faced and played the world its kind of hard to downgrade and play with the rest of the guys.

Kaci has made several big mistakes. So has Fedor. The last rack he almost screwed up position on the 2 and he clearly did so on the 7.

What should have been 9-6 is now 8-7.

Pretty poorly played match overall, but still entertaining.

Pleased to see that more fans are showing up to watch. 30% full looks possible for the final!

Biado has been recognized as the best Filipino player at least since Orcullo got kicked out of the US and his game began to slip. So five or six years.

I’d argue Chua surpassed him last year, but maybe not. In any case Biado is the most clutch Pinoy. Nerves don’t get too him so much like it does his fellow countrymen. And his resume, as sjm said, is a great, HOF one.

I’d put Biado as the eighth best player in the world now and his resume is only exceeded by four to six players still playing at the highest level (thus excluding Souquet and Mika).
