World Pool Championships 2025, July 21-26, Jeddah

"speaking of ameer, he's gonna become a full time WNT pro" said JJ. it's gonna be difficult getting a visa to US / UK and probably more countries. he may wanna keep a foot in the kitchen utensils business and the heyball events..

Yes, well said.

FYI, every single major played in the United States draws very well year after year, including the International Open. I'm curious to see what kind of attendance the Florida Open, just ten days away, will bring.
Naturally Matchroom is trying to find more places like Hanoi. They feel like they struck gold with the Mosconi in Orlando last year.

Hoping the Florida Open can get some of the same vibe. You were there, if I recall correctly. Going to be interesting to see if an open event there can work almost as well.

(Texas is worth a shot in the future too.)

The Philippines Open is of course part of the same quest.

Of the European events, I actually think the Spanish open a few years ago was maybe the best attended and certainly the most lively. Fulda was pretty good, too. Perhaps better attendance overall.

I don’t think MR is done experimenting. Far from it.

Do you think they could get a thousand fans on site there? I wonder at what the average Florida Open attendee age could be vs. those at past Hanoi Opens 🙂
