My wife wants me to get a furniture style table. I’d prefer a Diamond Professional but these two tables look real good. Anyone here have experience with the Royal Knight and Lord tables? How’s their build and play quality compare to a new Diamond?

Hello Jim,did you ever get the furniture style table that you were looking for? I have a Brunswick Royal Knight and a Peter Vitale Lord Nelson as well as a Tsunami model
I haven’t yet. Our house has been delayed a bit. I can get a black GC4 for around 3k but my wants me to get a furniture table. I keep looking at the Royal Knight on eBay that’s near Orlando but I think 10k is way too high. A while back I saw an AE Schmidt table that reminds me of a Kling, it was around 3k. If I can locate a good table at a reasonable price I’ll buy it and store it till our house is finished. Plus I want to send the rails to Jack Zimmerman to get the pockets tightened up.

I’m only interested in 9’ tables. When I suck so bad that I can’t handle a big table I’ll just playing pool🤪
The only good thing about a GC6 is that there’s no score counters. It’s going to come down to money. I’d rather have a Diamond but when I can get a nice GC4 on the cheap, that’s hard to turn down. Send me a price for the Royal Knight and Lord Nelson and I’ll check with my wife about the cost. Thanks

alphadog mentioned AE Schmidt. Always liked their tables but they moved away from commercial tables and now concentrating on home tables, therefore its nearly impossible to find one of their tables in a pool hall or tavern.

The good thing is, they still have the blueprints from the old days when they were trying to compete head to head with Brunswick.

Don't know what their thinking is, but last time I was in their shop they were building a special order/custom table.

Always liked how their tables played. 2 rail banks cross side or cross corner is completely different than a Brunswick. I liked it but if you compete, an old Schmidt will throw you off on a Brunswick. But also teach you how to adjust.

I had trouble getting used to those skinny rails when I first started playing. Was used to GCs comfy sides.😂

Sounds like you need one of those nice classic Brunswick Metros. Curves for days. More cushin' for the pushin'.
