Brother, to me, the old Schon stitch ring R2's are basically the perfect cue. Bonus points if it has the light/natural stain on the maple. I don't know how to explain it other than they just look like players.
I do not yet own a Schon. But I promise you when I get one it will be a stitch ring. I don't own many cues with metal rings, I don't typically like them.Brother, to me, the old Schon stitch ring R2's are basically the perfect cue. No offense but the picture sucks.
I like post #3. Spectacular with those blue rings.Ebony and maple got no life. See how much difference just a small detail like a blue ring makes, or some stain.
Oh I like it!Here's one I made a while back in 2022 I called it the Blue Knight. Ebony with straight grain maple forearm.

Agreed. Nice cue. Terrible photo. No offense but the picture sucks.
I would love to see a nice picture of that 4 point cue. Please?
You just did. There are some beauties here. I wish I had something to contribute.
Curious to see what anybody else has in just ebony/maple spliced cues, no veneers. Please post pics! Maybe some customs?
Love it! Tired? No way. Beautiful does not get old.
People are going to get tired of seeing this one since i've posted a couple times in past, but since you asked:

"Big reseller".I had a nitti like these. I was selling it and was told by a big reseller that it was basically the value of a sneaky pete... lol what bs.
After posting that, I simply had to go find this and link it.Ever see a Scruggs ebony sneaky?
Great looking cues, and nice photos. I really love that series of Mali Cues. Green label Malis like yours are known as the M-series and they were produced, from 1984-1985 and they are beautiful playing cues. I have bought and sold many of them overs, like you I love them, the craftsmanship in these cues was fantastic at the time, and they were made in the United States at the Mali Factory. The Mali factory in the United States was open from 1961 until 2001, all cues after 2001 are Chinese imports, and they are unfortunately poor quality, unlike your cues.I posted pics recently of my ebony Dufferin cues. After mulling it over, I thought to grab some group pictures of the Dufferin cues along with a couple Mali cues that are also ebony and maple.

I will start it out. I am no photographer. Just cell phone pics on a piece of fabric my daughter had. You can see there are some tiny finish dents on the butt sleeve of the second Mali, the bigger marks are smudges. The first one is darn near perfect, those are just smudges on it. I have two original Mali shafts for both of those cues.

Cool. I have a few fancier green labels, also gold, and silver. I have some older 1960s and early 1970s Mali cues too, with the Mali River label. I usually let those early ones go to a buddy that collects early Mali.Great looking cues, and nice photos. I really love that series of Mali Cues. Here are some very nice ones of the same series with inlay on EBay.

I have almost the entire M-series, with all my Guns in air-condition and heated storage. I don't know if they are a AZB member or not, if I see cues you may like on eBay and the prices are not ridiculous I will post them for you. The cue with the mother pearl in the butt, is nice looking cue, I really like the design. I also wouldn't take your Joss out on your Harley, and those Malis are perfect carry for ridesCool. I think that first one you posted is listed by an AZB member.
I don't take my Joss on my Harley. If I'm going to shoot pool on my bike, it's a 1982 Mali in the case. Beautiful cue. Great player. Minty, not a scratch on it.
Thanks. I watch ebay but miss stuff. A couple incredible deals went by me that are still killing me.I have almost the entire M-series, with all my Guns in air-condition and heated storage.
