US Open 08/18-23

Rack 11
Yapp makes the 1 and 4 and has a shot at the 2. 2, 3, 5, 6 require going up and down table. Yapp gets it done for another break and run.

8-3 Yapp

Rack 12
Yapp makes the 1 and has a shot on the 2. Everything pretty spread out. Yapp gets to and makes the 7, but hooks himself behind the 9 and can't see the 8. Jumps and misses, leaving Gorst an easy 2 ball out.

8-4 Yapp

Rack 13.
Gorst makes the 1 and has a long shot past the side pocket on the 2. Makes it and gets perfect shape on the 3. Doesn't roll quite enough and is barely hooked behind the 6 for the 4. Jumps and makes it. Rolls up close to the 5, so he plays safe. Puts 5 on bottom rail.

Yapp jumps and doesn't leave Gorst a viable shot.

Gorst gets a very favorable roll and Yapp can't see the 5. He hits it, but Gorst has a shot in the side. Gorst out.

8-5 Yapp

Rack 14
Gorst makes the 1 but no look at the 2. Fails on attempted safe shot.

Yapp leaves the cue and 2 at opposite ends of the table. Gorst fouls on the kick shot.

Yapp leaves him a sharp cut on the 4, but successfully gets back down table for the 5. Yapp gets out from there.

9-5 Yapp

Rack 15
Yapp makes the 1, 2, and 6. Has a good shot on the 3 and everything is open from there. Yapp runs out.

10-5 Yapp

Rack 16
Yapp breaks dry and leaves Gorst a shot on the 1. Every ball has space, but this isn't a very easy layout. Gorst gets it done to take the rack.

10-6 Yapp

Rack 18
Gorst makes the 1 again and has a long shot 2 with the 3 at the opposite end of the table. Successfully successfully makes it and gets shape. Plays the cue ball 2 rails around traffic to get from the 4 to the 5. Gets perfect shape on the 6 and it's an easy out from there. Break and run.

10-8 Yapp

I'm convinced Fedor lives to be behind and make a comeback, it's like he's hoping for it because it forces him to play better. Never seen anything like "the Fedor effect" before.
