Help me decide the wrap!

There have been many great suggestions, and some interesting thoughts about why certain types of wraps and colors would work.
Partly because it is what I like, and partly because I want to contribute to the theme of the group of cues I am putting together, I am going with black. I am going to dye the current wrap. Depending on how it looks and feels I will decide on whether I will put an additional finish on it. Options will include sanding sealer, carnauba wax...

Nice examples! Nice group! I really dig those cues.
That's kind of the look I am after with the group I am building, but more plain with no veneers.
