Anyone tried playing POINTS?

Crazy guy on Facebook is really pushing a new game he invented called Points. Says it's the future of pool. He sent me the rules, but I couldn't make it halfway through without a headache! I'd love to hear about it from someone who isn't him.
 
"Any other time a scratch occurs, it comes with a 2-stroke penalty. "

This could mean::
a) opponent gets 2 consecutive innings
or
b) you get no points on your next 2 shots of your next inning.

Sounds stupid--nor do I believe that anyone would want to watch.

That dude has been trolling Scott Ryan (Ultimate Pool USA CEO) about how Ultimate Pool is on the way out and POINTS is the future... The next UP stop was announced and it filled the 128 player Open within 12 hours! :)

He's goin all over the place pimpin this crap. He really thinks its the next big thing. Whatever dude. Remember 'Equal Offense'? Kinda the same idea and that went where?? In the crapper.
 
Another excellent points game was American Rotation. I am still disappointed to ended up losing momentum. Great inventor and mentor.

I was on one of the leagues for a year or two.
 
The last thing pool needs now is another niche game. Promoting the games we play already is a tough enough sell. Adding these oddball games is never going to move the pool needle.
