I feel bad for Tyler. He ran out that last rack quite well until he failed to play position on the nine ball. It was not a hard shot to get from the eight to the nine and he simply dogged it. Sad!

I don't think it was that easy from the angle he left himself. Probably his shot in the 7 was actually the mistake

He babied the 7. He babies shots a lot in tight spots. But a high ball on the 8 still would have been better.

he left himself weird on the 7. He could have taken a more aggressive shot on that to get better on the 8, rather than playing safe on the 7 and leaving himself a tricky one on the 8. The 8 was closer to the pocket so I get why he did it the way he did.

Playing two rail position was fine. Tyler just failed to hit the cue ball with enough speed. That is a nervous error. There's another name for it that I prefer not to use here. The C word.

I don’t really mind the shot on the 8 ball; with the slick cloth I think I prefer swinging it around 2 rails the way he attempted. I wonder if he was scared of the scratch in the side so he just played it too soft. That or it kind of looked he just drew it too much so it came into the short rail too shallow. Either way, massive blunder.
