Ronnie smashing up a tight Heyball table
Not really, no. Would he be good at it, great even? Yes, I think so. But pool and snooker are different, very few people can do both at the highest level, and certainly not simultaneously. He would not "clean up", as you say, Heyball is a specialty game, so is snooker for that matter. Ronny didn't do great at US pool and even if Heyball tables may be more familiar, I doubt he'd be anywhere near as good as he is in snooker.Ronnie would clean-up in Heyball if he took it seriously.
Yeah he was born to play snooker, i agree, you can't do both. But he can make anything look good. Not really, no. Would he be good at it, great even? Yes, I think so. I believe there has not been an example of crossover billiards dominanceRonnie would clean-up in Heyball if he took it seriously.
Maybe Harold Worst would be about it. He played all games at world class level.I believe there has not been an example of crossover billiards dominance
And he's been dead for more than 2 years!Maybe Harold Worst would be about it. He played all games at world class level.
He died at 38yrs old, no telling what he'd have done if he lived longer. And he's been dead for more than 2 years!
I don't think the competition was as tough then.He died at 38yrs old, no telling what he'd have done if he lived longer.

The people who DO play well at both have been doing both for a long time. The games really are much more different than people think when it comes to the finishing touches you need to excel, even though if you are good at one you're probably decent at the other. Decent is not going to cut it. Now when we talk about Mark Selby, then.....Thats another matter. I have much more faith in him making such a transition, if he wanted to. He is after all a world champion at UK pool and not half bad at snooker either
