Help with opinions about O'Min, or Cueroc pool cues?

I am curious if any of you guys have any experience playing with one of these O'Min, or Cueroc pool cues?

They look really nice to me.

They are very reasonably priced, from $400-$600, which seems reasonable compared to how much other production cues cost these days.

I really love the look of this Ebony and Bocote model O'Min, for example.

The Maple shafts are said to be made using a Carbon Core too, so I imagine the hit is very stiff, but I have never tried one.

I can't find any reviews on these cues either.

Anyways, I am curious if any of you guys have any experience, and opinions about these cues.

I also like a few of the Cueroc models, which I think might be a sister company to O'Min, but not sure.

These cues retail in the $400-$600 price range.

The Ebony with Carbon Fiber shaft model seems reasonable too, at just a little over $500.

Thanks for any thoughts, about either of these cues, if you gave any experience with either of them.

what do you mean, that's their logo in OP cue photo

I do not know. Maybe it is the same company, but the pool cues are made in China. The Snooker cues are made in Thailand. If it is the same company, and the snooker cues are high quality, then maybe the pool cues are also high quality.

I just wish there were some user reviews out there, to read, about them.

Anyways, I really love the look of that Ebony and Bocote (segmented handle) model. Very tempting, even for a cue that does not seem to be very popular in America.

Omin makes snooker cues at affordable prices. there are no pool cues on their web site, which leads me to believe that they are rebranded cues marketed in the USA.
On Syberts it says nothing about a cored shaft, so maybe there is a new shaft out there, maybe the info is not accurate.....
I think that they are a bit overpriced and you can get cheaper cues with similar quality from brands like Players and Valhalla.

i don't know Cueroc but I'm sure it all the same story

Players and Valhalla looks like garbage to me. Probably really cheap Maple, with spray paint and overlays all over them.

The cues that I am looking at look all natural (Ebony and Bocote), and they have no Overlays.

their snooker cues are well regarded, but never heard of anyone using their pool cues. kind of like longoni
Thai made O'min snooker cues are fantastic.
China made O'min cues are okay if you exceed a certain price point. Their pool cues follow the same logic. Decent enough factory made.
The name 'O'min' was licensed in China rather shadily, and used the good reputation of the Thai manufacturer to make profit. They used to make identical cues to LiSi (Cuelee's), but as LiSI are trying to internationalize, this is no longer the case (this is to the best of my knowledge).
Cueroc is cheap, average factory stock.

I have a "tulipwood" O'MIN cue. It may have been made in China, I really don't know. As a hobby cue maker myself, I can say that this cue is very well made. I believe it does have carbon fiber tubing in the shaft and it has a stiff hit. The wood is not actual tulipwood but is like Diamondwood, an orange colored laminate. The seam of the leather grip is just barely visible.

good to know. so the o'min snooker cues may be made in china?

The original O'Min are from Thailand been around since the 90's, there is nother O'min that are cheap Chinese cues.

The Chinese branded O'min make snooker, Chinese-8 ball and American pool cues.
The original Thai brand makes snooker cues.
The lore is that the original brand was successful, making excellent snooker cues (which he did), and then the brother of the guy, along with some Chinese businessmen, licensed the name for production in China,

Some of the cues they make are very far from 'cheap' - not handmade like the Thai original, but there are some very high value production cues made by Chinese O'min brand.

Hi, here is an O'Min cue that I really love the looks of, and it is the most expensive O'Min available, from a US dealer. I see that only a few US dealers here sell them (Seyberts, and Ozone Billiards). They are all priced at around $400-$600 though. I think they look really nice. Just no reviews on them. Finally, one person above showed one, and noted his opinion about the cue, and how it plays.

Description below of O'Min 19" carbon-fiber tube inside 29" maple wood shaft. Seyberts and Ozone Billiards sell O'Min cues with CF/Maple combination shafts but don't describe them. This figure is from a German website and is of O'Min model F2. Note part of shaft is a vacuum and no mention of anything inside that --- part of the shaft is hollow and airless.

Yes, there is a Chinese O'min too. I have no idea what their cues are like - but it does appear that some top players use them, so they are probably more than ok.
