The Jian Ying metallic cue!
A reasonable deal was made to me and I had no choice but to appease my curiosity about this cue. To be honest, it actually looks very cool in person, in a sci-fi way, feels good in the hands (love the wrap!) and, after some tinkering, it plays surprisingly well.
By tinkering, I mean that straight out of the box it hit like sh!t, with an annoying clank sound. I discovered that attaching the extension made the clank go away. I also discovered that removing the bumper & attached weight bolt made the clank go away. Unfortunately, reattaching the bumper brought the clank back, even without the weight bolt. I've decided to leave it off for now. Later I might get a lightweight 2"extension to screw on and keep the clank at bay.
I also replaced the stock carbon fiber shaft, which was warped, with a Bulletproof carbon fiber shaft, which rolls straight on this cue. That makes this thing 100% synthetic, which I feel is quite fitting.
I love this thing!
