PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

Not super excited about this.

I find 8 ball at the pro-level very boring to watch.

Will be interesting to see how Bergman gets on.

I get what you're saying, but it will still be interesting to me to see if someone new can add an 8 ball championship to their belt

I have enjoyed the predator events to start the year. Another question is how are they able to pay out so much?
Elite marketing. If they can get most amateurs to buy these, it's not hard to do the math.

Maybe DCP should invest in this to get more runnable layouts.

Not knocking anyone that has one btw. I swear by my Z3 and 314-2, so I know they have quality products. They've dominated and cornered the market for quite some time now, and I'm glad they are giving back to the pros and amateurs who help sponsor and purchase their products.

When I walk into a pool room, at least 1 out of every 3 or 4 players have some kind of Predator product, whether that be a shaft, jump cue, break cue, glove, chalk, etc.

All these PBS events are filling a void that the lackluster WNT events have created, and I'm all for it.

Imo’s!!

No... way.

For those that don't know: IMO's, a local favorite -- is a cracker thin pizza covered with provel cheese which is a processed blend of cheddar, Swiss, and provolone. To say the least, it is an acquired taste and if you're not from STL and been eating it since birth it's a tough swallow. If you must seek out a midwest specialty go to White Castle, lol.

I would hold off on the White Castle until after you have any firm commitments, you need to set aside a clear block of "potty" time.

Went to St Louis in 2002 and 2003 for journalism conventions and found it to be a very underrated town.

Go to: Pappy's for some amazing barbecue; Lorenzo's on The Hill for some good Northern Italian; hit Sasha's (two locations) for a pleasant foodie/wine experience; Mai Lee for some Vietnamese; or Brasserie down the street from me for French.

Other than that you're on your own.

you're welcome
I think they’re long gone, but Mammer Jammer had some late night fine dining.

first the stream froze then the game froze
They started a lot of tippy-tapping on balls in the corner, and after maybe 10 shots, the ref stepped forward and said something and the players changed strategy. Presumably they were alerted of a possible stalemate. I would have given them some more time.
