Identify Cue

Some of you may have seen this on eBay. No, I did not buy it.

It was identified as a Paradise cue, which I believe is incorrect, 55 bids went up to $855.

If you bought it, please chime in.

I am wondering what any of you might make of it. Yes, the pictures suck.

Wild that the bidding went that high. Wondering if there is some kind of scam.

And to say the case was made from the same block is so hokey.

Yes. I thought it was strange he would think they were made from the same piece. How on earth could you tell. Also he stated a well known cue maker in the hall of fame told him it was a Paradise, but he would not mention that person’s name. He said joint was ivory but I do not think so. He was also told by someone it was a Weir cue which I also thought. He talked about the screw on ferrule and I told him the glue did not hold and Paradise used a metal screw to attach the ferrule. He said the wrap was two-tone being gold wrap black thread. I am surprised it went that high as well. I have read somewhere that some of the older cue makers also sold production cues, maybe Paradise sold someone a production cue and hence the story it was a Paradise.

Well, I believe he was misled. I dodn't see all that in the ad. Did he have another ad or did you communicate with him?

The 'Scam' was most likely in the 'Bidding'!
