I'm watching the Malaysian open for golden nineball which are played on heyball tables. I don't necessarily like the tables and the cloth, but I really like the scoring aspect. mini gold racks give you 7 points (nineball on the break) Big gold racks give you 10 points (BNR). Regular win gives you 4 points and an opponent scratch from a safety, not sure on just a regular scratch, gives you one point.
You play a set number of frames and whoever has the most points at the end of the frames wins.
I really like that. You're rewarded for breaking and running out more than anything. You're rewarded for a golden break but not at the same level as a bnr. You're rewarded for good safety play, etc.
