Yes. Every tournament billiard balls set I have played with is slightly different than the crapper balls they give out at the pool hall. The balls are slightly bigger in most instances and the crisp sound of phenolic resin is great. Plus no chips or cracks for a more consistent game play and way better visuals overall.

I have the premium and the super pro. I haven't noticed a big difference. Although I prefer my new set of dynaspheres to both.
 
I've had the Premiums for about 6 yrs. Recently purchased a set of Challengers for about $135. Like them better. They are new though vs 6 yr old balls. The Premiums are in like new condition though.

I would NOT buy off Amazon unless it is a well known entity...and then I'd reach out directly to purchase directly.

Amazon is rife with fakes and saving the little you will is NOT worth it.
 
cheaper balls from a top manufacturer are very close or even impossible to really notice any appreciable difference after a few racks of playing. or even the first rack.
most is mental. and all will argue about it.
but if you roll them together they travel the same distance. so it is basically sound of them that people use.

more important is finding a cue ball that in your mined you like as that may affect you. which it shouldnt.

i have multiple racks and would put out say 3 batches of 5 balls and hit them and cant find any real or even any difference in how they play.

except for newer balls that are shiny and will draw or follow better till they get dirty.

Right now I have a set of Super Pros sitting in my trunk and a set of Dynashere Bronze on my table at home. I'd try the Challenger if I were you.

I was going to say I stopped using Amazon after I read that if they have multiple sellers selling the same product using them for fullfillment they just store them all together and pick one at random when you order, meaning you could order from a good store with good reviews and actually recieve a product from a store that uses counterfeits and has terrible reviews.

But just learned they stopped that practice earlier in the year:

I've been playing with the Titanium's. Not a fan of how the balls play. They mute or dampen down the stroke put into them.
They don't throw well which I use a lot in One Pocket.

Got a set of Super Pros in my Cart on Amazon. Might as well get what I'm used to I guess.
 
I wouldn't buy balls from Amazon. The risk for counterfeit is too high. Why not purchase from a reputable/authorized reseller? There are many of them online.

FWIW, I have 16 sets of balls. Tournaments, Centennials, Cyclops, Cosmos, etc. I prefer my Dynashperes Bronze and Rhodium. IMO, they are the best balls on the market.

Many authorized sellers also sell on Amazon. Amazon provides for reviews also and I have prime shipping which is free.
So the balls look great by the way. I should be hitting them soon.

Ebay is the same way; a lot of the same vendors sell on both venues.

Both venues also have legit vendors with genuine products.....you just have to dig sometimes to separate the wheat from the chaff of fakes versus real. It comes down to the old saying; "If it's too good to be true, it probably is"!.
