that is also one of many reasons the "rules" are so stupid in that forum that you can't comment and question and challenge the bs, in public.

Some of my favorite posts on here are reading the responses you and Chopdoc give to the people asking what they have. I have learned quite a bit about different cue makers and lines of cues. I think most of those people just have no idea where to look when they come into a cue while never being into pool. Those posts are only second to new posts from Mr. Owen when he completes a cue.

I'm talking about the repeat offenders, the one's that do it all the time. Just flippers too fkn lazy to do their own legwork.

With all the scammers, hard not to be cynical. Makes it tough on everyone. One can't build a history without someone first extending some trust to make a deal.
 
The worst os when they ask our experienced and educated experience on a cue- you give them a reasonable selling range; and then they throw it on e bay for thousands more--- it usually ends up selling in the range we gave them, and they end up paying e bay 14% on top. Well they could have just done that to begin with and not wasted everyone's time here. I usually respond bc I want to help out, seeing 4 or 5 guys on here agreeing on a price range should convince the uneducated to at least respect the opinion- otherwise, what are you asking?

Honestly about half the posters in this exact thread I wouldn't buy from without protecting my money. And some of the posters I'd send a cue before they even paid. I know everyone has to start somewhere but I m not that somewhere.
