Wiraka pool table vs pro star (Italian made)

There have been no issues with the metal trim at all that I know of. Here is a direct link to the Facebook page for the room with lots of photos if you're curious what they look like in a real setting. Also, if you PM the page, the owner or GM will message you back and may be able to answer your...

Wiraka pool table vs pro star (Italian made)

I've never seen or played on a Pro Star but we do have a room here in Edmonton that is fully equipped with Wiraka Dynasty tables and they are fantastic. They are super solid, roll true and have great rails. I am very impressed with how they play and how they look.

    Why cant i find

Agreed and they play even better than they look. With steel block rails and heated slates, these tables play as close to perfectly as I've ever played on.

How to make these bank shots

I don't mind the first shot all that much, actually. I would normally play to overcut the bank slightly but play with extreme low left and drag the cueball behind the path of the object ball. The spin helps to change the angle of the object ball and throw it towards the pocket.

    Review Of Ridgeback Rails

I don't need an exact number but, roughly, what kind of a price tag does a pro set run? Thanks!

Which CURRENT pro would you recommend a beginner to emulate?

Agreed, as well as for sportsmanship and professionalism.

    Canadian Eight Ball Championship

In theory, Toronto is a fantastic choice but, in the real world, they have managed to draw almost nobody for a National championship event in a city with a population base of almost 6.4 million people(just in the GTA). You are absolutely correct that they need a feeder structure from the...

    Canadian Eight Ball Championship

As a westerner, it's already as if the Canadians doesn't exist. The governing body of the CBSA does nothing to coordinate with the west(or any provinces other than Ontario and Quebec) and provides little to no benefit to us. We have had board members from out here in recent years and every bit...

    Canadian Eight Ball Championship

As a western Canadian guy, I can say that this event is pretty much a joke all the way across the country with the exception of Toronto. Every year the turnout gets lower and lower and the CBSA(event promoter) refuses to evolve at all. This years mens events, hosted in the largest city in the...

Strangest thing you ever bet on in a pool room

We've had some good ones with my circle of friends including: How many jelly beans get dispensed from the vending machine(over/under). Eating a full bowl of mayo. Shuffleboard on the counter with coffee creamers. Rolling pool balls closest to the wall(without touching). Having to eat the entire...

SVB vs Corey D racking issue

This is exactly why I don't understand the fascination with playing professional 9 ball events. The 9 ball rack has been flawed forever and is open to manipulation. Pair that with the fact that this event was played on a box and it's even more dumb. Why not simply switch to 10 ball and end most...

Thought Process When Shooting the 9-Ball ?

I'm in the camp that says when you're playing a shot you need to commit to it fully. If you want to make the shot focus on doing everything you can to make the shot, if not, put all your energy into playing a jam up safety. Playing with a "if I miss, what will I leave" mentality will never get...

The newest the bested the most spectularous pool cue ever

Do you have one that will match Earl's ass weights, falconry glove, finger extensions and bee keeper outfit?

    Fargo rate correct predictions!!!

I think that 10 out of 14 at this level of competition is incredibly good considering that just about any of the players rated at 750+ have a very real chance of putting together B&R packages of 7+ racks. That kind of variance makes it really hard to get much closer than a 70% successful...

Earl Moment US Open Knockout round

Was he wearing his beekeeper outfit and breaking with his 11 foot long cue? Does he really surprise anyone anymore?

What is on your "Bucket List" of cues?

I saw a picture of a Tascarella on here years ago that I've never forgotten about. It was an ebony bumperless with blue flame veneers and it was dead sexy. It may be the only cue I'd consider replacing the one I've played with 25+ years assuming that it hits like it looks.

Ok, I have a game for you

It may be a sucker bet somehow but I'd definitely take a run or two at it.
