    Happy Birthday to Paul Drexler

My PFD is the best hitting cue I ever had, over my Schons, Lambroses and South Wests. Happy birthday Paul! Wishing many more years of healthy and productive life!

Accu-stats have a video of him playing Frankie Hernandez in the 2003 U.S. Open 9-ball. That's an awesome match. John played a near perfect 9-ball. Just wonder whether that was the guy's regular speed...

The only other info I have on this guy is that he finished 8th in the 2005 DCC One Pocket division (same year as his 4th place finish in Reno), finished 5th in Reno the year before (SRO 40) and shared 7th place with Johnny Archer at Steve Mizerak Championship in 2007. Can't put a name to a face...

Cheers! I agree, Grady and Billy in the booth together were always fun to hear. Quite a few of their exchanges stand out in my memory. I do recall seeing a match from SRO11 between Buddy and Grady (Grady whitewashed Buddy 11-0) where Billy and Grady do a voice-over player review. Billy asked...

Thank you for your appreciative comments Jay. A lot of my time went into this as this information has been mostly collated from various magazines due to a lack of coverage on the internet. I would also like to thank Bob Jewett for providing input on missing years. Do you know why the...

Here's a complete list of the 1st-4th place finishers in all of the Sands Regency Open events. I hope, guys, you will find this useful. Johnny Archer won it 5 times, followed by Reyes, Sigel and Varner on 4, and Earl and Kimmer on 3! Which was/were your favourite match/es ? My all-time...

    Million Dollar Challenge Documentary

It’s kind of dumb to point this out but video footage will always take precedence over written/oral evidence. And when there are five racks in the video out of 11 racks ran by Earl and we know that taping started from rack 7 only, it’s not too difficult to figure out which racks are shown, is...

    Million Dollar Challenge Documentary

That's very interesting lol. The only claim I made was a rack-by-rack accounting based on the video footage. Did you see it, by the way ? If you can't see that Jay's story does not hang together and contradicts all other contemporaneous written accounts and the said video footage, I can't help you.

Hubert L. "Daddy Warbucks" Cokes in jail 1964 newspaper clipping

    Minnesota Fats

I think Jay Helfert mentions in his book that the matter did progress to court and Tevis won the case but that did not stop Fats using the monicker. Edit: just seen that Jay has already covered this, sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess I shall leave it at that. There is no point debating this any further. I'm sure everyone watching the video will draw their own conclusions. I will just post up the remaining articles that I have (from Dallas Morning News and The American Cueist) and that will be the end of the matter...

Where do I start... Best to take your points in turn: - Rack 5 was never taped. What you say contradicts all of the available accounts of the match (even your own - have a look a couple of posts above). Per CJ, the terms of insurance policy required a player to say "on five" and that's exactly...
