Thanks Thanks for the info, JB. I purchased a JB 2x3 case with the light-weight interior this past weekend and I really like it. I especially like the the light weight.

    Dress code in pool

I feel so alone You'll have no problem spotting me in a pool room. I'm the guy wearing bespoke clothing and an apron. I believe everyone should dress the way they like (within reason) when playing pool, but times have changed. We're an under-dressed nation now, and I definitely look out of...

    case without cues carry on

You can take the empty case on board (I've personally seen one get through), but I often wondered how many didn't get through, and about the TSA official with a chip on his shoulder that enforced the size limit (remember the "luggage cage"). They bend the rule and let luggage "go through" that...

Felinni, Ron Thomas, Engles, et al questions

Thanks for your response. I am looking for a 1x2 or 2x4 as a 2nd case to use when I'm playing one-pocket (1x2) or a quick match locally. I'll use my larger case when I expect to play extensively or will need a break and/or jump.... By vigorous transportation I mean traveling to a poolhall/pub...

Felinni, Ron Thomas, Engles, et al questions

I currently have a 3x7 Instroke leather case and I'm contemplating buying a Fellini / Ron Thomas / Engles case made of Elephant (incl Trunk), Ostrich, Alligator, Shark, Lizard, Kangaroo or some other exotic skin. My questions are: 1. Do most people use these "exotic skin" cases to transport...

Robin - you are a natural. I love your teaching style. I can't wait to see the jump video and I hope you're considering making others.

    Ripped Off??

Agreed. I purchased a jump cue from the seller recently and it was as described (perfect) and arrived within two days. Kudos for stepping up, Jerry. That goes a long way here.

    FS-Cue Case Travel Bag

Wow. I've been lucky. I was never questioned about my cue/case and always brought it on-board before 9/11. I've left some expensive cologne in the hands of the TSA after 9/11, though. I often wondered how that bottle of Creed looked in that TSA worker's medicine cabinet. :(

    FS-Cue Case Travel Bag

That's true as well. The best thing for everyone will be the FTA taking the pool cue off the terrorist hit list.

    FS-Cue Case Travel Bag

You will always be at risk for theft. It can be stolen from your trunk or at your favorite place to play. If you have to fly and bring a cue with you, outside of placing your case in a larger piece of luggage, what other choices are there?
