How a Gold Crown IV Saved My Life

Heh, he might just be able to salvage the GC that got knocked over! After all, one of the legs at least was already removed... And he'd have to - HAVE TO - put it in the same place as it was before the car bashed it. Along with framed photos of the incident on the wall nearby. Sure would be a...

How a Gold Crown IV Saved My Life

http://www.adultswim.com/americaloveslists/vb_brockbeatdowns/page2.html Second video, "Bathroom Rescue". The first pair in the butterfly outfits. First thing I thought of when I started reading this thread. :D

Terry Ardano to have major back surgery on the 19th

Here's hoping his surgery goes well. And also hoping for another player's surgery - a local Atlanta pool fixture (who I won't identify, dunno if he wants his name out there - but many locals will know who I'm talking about) is going under the knife today - double bypass surgery.

    Tournament Brackets Question

Do some google searches for Ingen Pool. They have a program that has five free tries, and then it's like $40 or $50 for the license. It's the bomb.

Food and Beverage consumption during tournament play

I was wondering if any vegetarians (or even vegans) would chime in... :) Folks like you have it even worse than the rest of us when it comes to pool room food.

Food and Beverage consumption during tournament play

What if the room in question a) has no food, or b) has crappy unhealthy stuff that is disguised as food? No one is saying "screw the room over" here - we're talking about when the room's offerings, if any, are not up to par.

Food and Beverage consumption during tournament play

A lot of endurance athletes (triathalonners, cyclists) will carbo-load like that. It's not a bad idea. Staying physically fit, I'm sure, is a big thing. I'd put it nearly on par with actual practice time. Not saying one hour of exercise for one hour of practice, but find a good ratio and stick...

Food and Beverage consumption during tournament play

At that time in the tournament, don't hesitate to tell the TD you need a small break between matches to get some food in you. Most folks will understand. Most of THOSE folks will give you the time :)

Food and Beverage consumption during tournament play

Something to consider is bringing a little cooler with some better options (sandwiches, fruit, etc) and leaving it in your car. Bug out to the parking lot when you need to refuel.

VNEA Tourney in Vegas has Greens fees

Heh. When, say, you go to the grocery store to buy eggs, and find they went up 10 cents for a dozen - do you go to the customer service counter and grill them? "What's the justification of this 10 cent hike in price? Where's that 10 cents going? Are you using better skilled chickens that get...

VNEA Tourney in Vegas has Greens fees

Well the free practice concept has some issues with it, methinks. 1) How are they going to enforce free practice only for the people who have registered for tournaments and hence, paid the green fees? With the quarter/token deal, it didn't matter. 2) What of the guy who registers for several...

    Harassment - your view please!

So you're not saying this is a trademark issue, but rather an internet search issue. Here's a thought... if someone was specifically trying to find "PoolTees", how about the possibility that the would just add ".com" onto it and go to that domain straight up? :P Just as an exercise, google...

Oh FFS. Two people have a dog in this hunt - the rest of us don't.

VNEA Tourney in Vegas has Greens fees

I suspect that no one would be happy with any change to the quarters/tokens/green fees sitch with a single exception, i.e. *no* quarters/tokens/green fees. :P I can see the reasoning behind the change - no more need for bringing in the quarter/token machines (and all the maintenance issues that...

    Using the Mechanical Bridge

Why is it called "mechanical"? It's not the least bit mechanical - no moving parts, it just sits there :P And agreed with the above poster - ignore anyone giving you grief for using a bridge. Sometimes it's necessary - people are only so tall and can reach only so far. The best revenge against...

    Harassment - your view please!

The only people who will win in this dispute are the lawyers. The two domain names/business names are *both* very simple and frankly, lacking in creativity. You both deal in t-shirts with pool-themed artwork. Your business names reflect that. Now, if one of you was ripping off the other's...
