Terry Ardano to have major back surgery on the eighth

Many of us have noticed that someone that was selected as the nicest poster on the forum hasn't been posting much lately. There is a reason for that. Terry Ardano has a very nasty back condition that will require major surgery. Being a private person he has remained largely silent about it. However I have wrangled permission to post this so that he and his family can see the support he has on this site. His surgery is scheduled for the eighth, of April I think!

His time sitting has been severely restricted and will be severely restricted for weeks so he won't be posting for awhile yet but I am sure he or his wife will read the well wishes. Let's show our support for a super nice guy and one if the finest pool historians anywhere!

Terry, you have my phone number. Anything I can do to help you or your family just call on me. I'll be thinking about you my friend.

Take care big guy and get well soon. I still have a rain check from you for dinner :). I hope your wife will post on here and let us know how you are doing. If you want me to sneak some food into the hospital......just kidding. You know I would if I was there.

Get well soon Terry. you'll be back up and at em in no time :)

I too had a major back surgery, The part of my Spine that incases the spinal cord broke off and My spine slipped forward. I was almost paralyzed. After a major fusion and some reconstruction, I was good as new. They had me walking around the day after surgery. Today my back is stronger than it ever was. So Keep your spirits up and we look forward to your good health :)

Terry, you better get well soon. I am running out of stats and info on players and need your help! ;)

What is Dennis Hatch highest 14-1 run? (I know you have it somewhere)

Good luck with the surgery. Keep us updated if you can.

Terry is one of the jewels in the crown of AZB, an inestimable treasure. Wishing him all the best with his surgery.

Here's hoping his surgery goes well.

And also hoping for another player's surgery - a local Atlanta pool fixture (who I won't identify, dunno if he wants his name out there - but many locals will know who I'm talking about) is going under the knife today - double bypass surgery.

Terry, you know that you have many, many AZ Billiards people thinking of you and sending along their best wishes for a very successful surgery and a speedy recovery. We know you won't be able to type for a while and will miss your posts, but we hope someone reads our "get well" wishes to you and keeps you up to date on the AZ doings. Thanks for all of your contributions to AZ and its members and we are counting on many, many more contributions in the future.

Terry

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers (as always) - if you need anything - do not hesitate to pick up the phone and ask. Anything for you, brother!

The surgery will go just fine. I made the doctor an offer he can't refuse. Now it is up to you to to do the rehab thing right...which I know you will.

I hope you get back on your feet fast, for you, for your family, and for all us AZer's that hunger for your posts again. John
