. How about 8 balls of the same color, and one ball with a stripe? For those who can't play shape. A ball with red dots for the CB.. just to watch the spin off the rails. A simple game for simpletons. .

I really wouldn't worry about your cue tip, ending up on the cloth. I'd practice a straight lined up cue and follow through on that line. When your cue is aligned down the shot line, follow through..... like your cue strokes toward the OB. Stroke looks crooked now & your cue tip hits offset on...

I would say "As long as your upper arm doesn't move at least until after the CB is gone". .

Nice graphic Matt_24... I always look at the 1/2 ball hit to see if the angle is more, or less, than 30 degrees. If I aim at the blue square (as in your graphic) I know the OB will travel 30 degrees. If I aim at the black dot as in your graphic I know my object ball travels 15 degrees, &...

Place 5 balls in a semicircle by a side pocket. Shoot all 5 in that pocket using draw. You'll find you need to use different cue tip positions to move the cueball sideways. .

Totally agree also.. 4 1/2" side pockets are very hard, and will limit play from all angles inside the foot and head spots. 5" side pockets allows play in those areas, and room for cross banking... But 1/2" larger than any corner pocket sucks. My dream table... 5 1/2" corners with 6" sides.. (Not) .

Side pockets 5"...... No more, no less. Corners 5" or less.... Your preference. 4" corners too tight. Over 5" too loose. .
