I don't particularly care for Jim, that is certainly true. However, I base my comments on his ability as a cuemaker based on the work that he perfomed on a cue. If the original poster, or whomever, is interested in details, I am willing to provide further details, as well as put them in touch...

I don't have the time or energy to list the vast majority of cuemakers that would be a better buy than a Pierce. There, no pimping done. : )

My opinion is just the opposite for obvious reasons. Lot's of better options out there. Ryans cues are excellent, as are dozens of others.

I know how a few of the people that were highly critical actually play, and it is my opinion they would probably lose to John or Lou. It's easy to talk when you are sitting behind a keyboard and/or anonymous. Most of these armchair "warriors" wouldn't bet a nickle, much less 10 thousand...

Despite what many feel, I believe it is important to post these issues on AZ for others to know what they might be getting themselves into when dealing with certain cuemakers. Along with my own crappy dealing with the cuemaker in my sig, there are several more that I will studiously avoid...
