    One Pocket Players

Has anyone ever seen "Squirrel" Carpenter play one pocket? He used to travel around and play mostly in the 60s and 70s. Got to meet him a few months ago in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I don't think he plays much anymore, but he was a well known one pocket player in his prime.

Get up a ring game, somewhere in the middle of the states, and have at it....I couldn't play with many of these guys, but would for sure go there to watch them play....I do think Fast Larry and Silencer would be a highlight. mike

    The best feeling in Billiards

Gremlin, after watching Kim on TV the other night, it is nice to see someone other than the top 2 or 3 ranked WPBA make the TV matches....Wish there were more like her moving up......mike

    break jump cues

I personally think that you are better off spending the extra for both a jump cue and a break cue. I've read where some people like the jump/break cues, but most seem to prefer one of each. There are many out there, I prefer the Lucasi as a jump...Many like the Bunjee. Predator Bk Cue or a...

    V.I.P Tickets vs. Regualar Tickets

Was going to scoot over to watch the Delta Classic in Tunica in February and was trying to decide on tickets.....Other than the 50 dollar difference in the price, what is the difference in the tickets? I guess I'm wanting to ask are the VIP tickets worth it? Mike

    Favorite Player To Watch???

The intensity of Karen Corr makes her fun to watch, but Jeanette's personality gets the vote for the women.. As far as the men, "The Miz" in his prime was my favorite.

Do you pro players prefer Stiff or Flexible cues?

I'm no pro so my advice might should be carried over to the next reply....but I prefer a stiff shaft....I changed to the stiff a year ago and it has improved my game. If I'm not mistaken, the Vikings are 13mm at the tip....and will probably be a more stiff shaft than some....mike

    glasses

I hope you get some feedback...I wear bi-focals and have to take them off to play pool. If I wear them, the cue ball is fuzzy...take them off, the CB is clear and I can't see the object ball if is at the other end of the table....guess I should just be good enough to have all short shots. :cool...

Purchasing CueStick - WHere to start? Help

Go ahead and add another $100 and get you a cue...My opinion, a decent cue starts at around 300 bucks.....and get you a good tip on it when you buy it.....that is half the cue.....Moori and Talisman are my favorites and there are many other good ones also.....mike
