    Cuemakers Taking Orders

Anyone who asks for deposit.is probably going take a very long time.and with that kind of money on the line,it must be some cue. I hope you get it soon!!!! I only done it a couple times.both were ok.I paid 150 upfront. (I would not pay any more than that) and cues where completed on time. I wait...

Hitting better with a hard tip?

I remember that too,you had the hardness rating listed as well. That was some years ago. There are so many on the market now,it would be a very long list.

    Cue holder help

They work just fine, weighted so it won't move.and the front has a straight edge. that's why they will work just about anywhere.

Hitting better with a hard tip?

The buffalo tips, I got from my brother, who brought them from ebay.(who didn't like them) it wasn't a box. I think they where being sold, 10 tips at a time, that was some years ago. Only thing I can find on there now, is the old stock boxes.

    Mickey Krause break cue

Hitting better with a hard tip?

Yeah, your not wrong.you call it a bounce.I feel it as a zip or a fizzing off of the tip. I find the really good ones are more precise. The same can be said for the medium hard.I just find them not as consistent.

Hitting better with a hard tip?

I heard that about those.I seem to remember them being on sugartree cues too.from way back!!

Hitting better with a hard tip?

I'm with you on the shafts. Too much today is about the technology.rather than actually understanding the way the shaft deflects.as opposed to using a shaft, with the least amount of deflection possible.ridiculously expensive.and it will still take, a ton of work,to get anywhere. I use chalk...

Hitting better with a hard tip?

I think it's more about, You doing what works for you.I stopped using triangles,a while back I couldn't find a good one.the quality, just hasn't been the same in recent years. The older ones where always the best.I never tried pressing them. I done that with elks. you soak them in milk. But I...

Hitting better with a hard tip?

There is nothing like the feeling, of the CB zipping of the tip.I like that instant feeling. although you won't get it with everyone, you put on. Like most solid tips.you got to be a bit lucky. Water buffalo is definitely my favourite. My method is to bite em. If there is not much of an imprint...

    Delfection/Spin Methods

This is very true,it's how many of us start out.and gain that experience over time. A decent set up and a good stroke is all part of the process.

    Delfection/Spin Methods

Great post, so much of using different spins,is all about repetition. If you work hard enough, it's all automatic.where you don't think about it. You feel it coming off the tip. I was thinking how I would explain it.and your post says it right, in my view. weather you spin the ball a little or a...

    Arguing with experts

It's amazing, just how much you can improve,if you're taught the right techniques to correct certain errors.you didn't even know where there.once you know how to improve.the hard work begins. And that don't matter what standard you where before.if you understand how to something better.you...

Hu, Over the last 20 years of dealing with many cuemakers. i was a teenager then, obsessed with cues.Over the years the one thing you learn.is everyone wants to build that, one off great hitting cue. It's a rare thing indeed. Even when the whole thing is built for you, there is a never a...

Yep,a lot of those guys aren't here any more. It's a shame.the only thing good about this forum,is the cuemakers that still post.guys that have been here since I joined in 07.they have wealth of knowledge.it makes me laugh, when I read members arguing with guys, who have been in the business of...
