Centennial Restoration: best new cushions and cloth?

Thanks to the positive feedback regarding Billiard Restoration Service on this section of the forum, I have decided to put my deposit down on a restored 9' Centennial with drop pockets and score counters from Derrick Tiers. I am now trying to nail down the specifics and include them in the...

    Brunswick Centennial & Anniversary

It is hard to find a negative comment about these tables, with the possible exception of current price and availability for a nice one. Do they have any known flaws?

Designing home: 2nd floor considerations for 9' table

I've narrowed it down to either an Anniversary or a Centennial; most likely restored and delivered by Derrick Tiers. The Kling is awesome but the difference in price is too hard for me to swallow after giving it deep thought. I'm inclined to go with the original corner pocket width for a...

    Brunswick Centennial & Anniversary

These pictures from the 1952 catalog make me wonder if Brunswick felt otherwise; or at least wanted to suggest the possibility. I don't imagine many women in the pool halls those days, but I could be very wrong.

    Brunswick Centennial & Anniversary

Does anyone know Brunswick's rationale for having both of these tables sharing the spotlight from 1946 to 1961? Was one considered the commercial model while the other was marketed as a home table?

Designing home: 2nd floor considerations for 9' table

Thank you all very much for the replies. I thought I would get an email alert when new messages were posted -- which I did not -- and am just now returning to see these thoughtful responses. I am not 100% decided on which table I plan on owning but here are all of the contenders (all 9')...

Designing home: 2nd floor considerations for 9' table

I could really use some advice regarding the pool table I would like to put above a yet-to-be-built detached garage. Is there anything I should consider telling the architect or engineer to insure that the table is as stable as possible? Also, there will be a straight run of stairs going up...

Can existing leather wrap be saved during a refinish?

In my case, the finish is 100% perfect at this point in time. It is the future that I am trying to take in to consideration.

Can existing leather wrap be saved during a refinish?

I appreciate your reply but am not sure if we are discussing the same thing. My concern is if I choose today to spend $400 on an elephant ear leather wrap, will I be able to have the cue refinished sometime in the future without sacrificing that expensive wrap?

Can existing leather wrap be saved during a refinish?

I'm trying to weigh the negatives involved in paying big money for an exotic leather wrap (e.g., elephant ear). Thanks you, Lucky Lager

Is it possible to convert irish linen to wrapless?

Thank you all for the informative replies. I read elsewhere on the forum that a new Irish linen wrap often becomes less slippery over time. Possibly with a bit more use the problem may take care of itself. If not, I'll have a tough decision to make. The fact that I have been using house cues...

Is it possible to convert irish linen to wrapless?

I have just received a custom cue that I like a great deal except the Irish linen wrap is too slick for my taste. The finish of the cue seems much more to my liking as a grip texture than the wrap so I am now curious if converting it to wrapless is possible. Can anyone please enlighten me on...
