"Aiming Systems" are Junk, DO the Work!

You sure seem to have a lot to say about pool when you are just learning how to play. You don't know what you don't know, and making statements like you did above just prove that point.

Should Earl be in the 2017 Mosconi Cup?

Yeah, right..... and you don't even realize that you just named two people that almost ended the U.S.A. ever being in the Mosconi Cup again.

    Don't mess with this guy

Yep, that is the Rayburn. I just googled it, and they have the exact same picture. I don't know why it said that it was an Ohio class boat when I checked on the picture, because it surely isn't. ???

    Don't mess with this guy

Back when I served in the sub service, there was one boat that was painted up just like that one. The pic says this one is Ohio class, where as ours were Lafayette class. Which means that they carried on the tradition. Nice to know. As to the 16th hatch markings, sorry, I don't remember if...

What would you do with this 9-ball ball layout?

I actually picked option 7. I did that because I wasn't sure just where I was going to pocket the two.

How would you get position on the 9 ball?

Nobody yet has seen the short rail, long rail, short rail position to the 9 yet?

What would you do with this 9-ball ball layout?

I've never liked giving up the table unless I can better the situation or put my opponent in a trap. I am shooting the one in the side. I would have to actually be at the table to be sure just where I want the cb for the two.( I am picking the easiest route, either to the upper or lower pocket...

CSI 8 ball - worst ref gaffe ever

Years, ok, decades, ago, I believe it was Jim Rempe that did the reverse error. They were in the finals of a big tournament, the opponent scratched. Rempe had a ton of money bet on himself. The ref picks up the cb and just places it on the table as Rempe had ball in hand. Rempe, having a...

Why are certain parts of the country better for action than others?

I don't know of any true gamblers that talk down to their "customers" like that. You sound like a rich, elitist, snob with no touch of reality that just likes to brag about how much money you have. Like others already stated, if all you want is big action, there is plenty of it around. Go fly...

    Craigslist Curiousity

I was thinking that this is the first pool table I have ever seen that had a flat tire.

    This is interesting.

Yeah, right....the science guys that have the actual science, common sense, logic, ect. behind them are the closed-minded ones. Here's a big hint for you, if you do things right to start with, you don't then need to go looking for bandaids to fix your mistakes. ;)

Can a slump be diagnosed and fixed?

This topic comes up quite frequently. There is no need to ever be in a slump for more than one ball.

maybe i have been thinking wrong all these years.

You got that right! I always kept several cue balls. Still have an oversize cb. Always get a kick out of it when I set a ball froze to the rail and then give them that oversize cb and ask them to run that ob down the rail into the pocket.

Must See - WPS 8B - Incredible Out by Chris Melling - VIDEO

For what it's worth, having shot many masse' shots over the years, I totally agree with you. It was the easiest of the three shots. The first shot was the toughest. What made the run great was the fact that he made three specialty shots in it and didn't really hesitate at all on them. He just...

Question About Deliberate Practice for Experienced Instructors

Now, don't take this wrong, but if your limit is two racks on a bar table, you have a ways to go yet. The first thing I would be working on is my fundamentals. They are your absolute foundation. Without solid fundamentals, everything else ends up being hit and miss. Then, I would do something...
