    Datel Tallinn Open 2019.

Good luck on your trip over the narrow sea :) Hopefully the draw is on your side and you'll get deep in the field. With guys like those you mentioned playing it will be a tough tournament to stay in. Keep the updates coming and remember that unless there are pics to show it didn't happen ;)...

What shafts are lower deflection than mezz wx 900

Wx900 is really low deflection to start with. From my experience there are only a few shafts that are within the same region, the Predator Z shafts and Revo. The differences in these top LD's are so miniscule that it really doensn't matter any more which you use in my humble opinion

New shaft by Mezz, the WX-Alpha review.

I don't think that they'd change the ferrules of wx700 and wx900, both shafts being hugely popular as they are. Mezz has come up with another wx shaft though, the WX888. Designed for chinese 8ball in mind, 12.35mm tip diameter, the brown ferrule like WX a and a stiff taper. From the very little...

New shaft by Mezz, the WX-Alpha review.

The shaft is excellent, even after the new cue syndrome has surely passed my take on it remains about the same. The sound of hit improved dramatically after getting rid of the Kamui and replaced that with a single layer tip that I prefer over laminates. I bought an ACE180 Mezz so I now own one...

    12.4 Revo vs 12.5 cynergy

^ Thank you for the data and welcome to the forums! Cuetecs taper does indeed look much more comfortable, I'd gladly give one a try :)

    Reduce deflection by changing ferrule?

^ Never thought of that in such depth. Guess that I'm a bit lost about the correct use of smilies :embarrassed2: Regardless of smiley faces I'm serious about what I said above. I spent quite a bit of time testing the materials I stock for cue repair on the same shaft, replacing the ferrule over...

    Reduce deflection by changing ferrule?

The material definitely makes a difference. A drastic example would be a standard 1" capped ferrule made of a heavy material like Ivorine 4, if you were to change that to a new, same size ferrule made of a very light weight material like Tomahawk the deflection difference is surely noticeable...

Refinish a vintage Rich Q cue

I'm no cuemaker, rather a hobbyist, but I will side with mr. Webb, stay clear of delrin on applications where it needs to be finished over or glued on. It is a great material to work with, easy to machine, cheap, durable and has very little shrinkage/expansion after cutting wich makes it a...

    The BIG Mezz shaft thread!

Here is a link to the same review for those not on Facebook :) https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=477819 I might add that I have since purchased an ACE180 Mezz that came with the WX alpha shaft and I like it even more after taking the taper back a little and putting on a tip that...

    Predator ferrule cleaning

I have tried cleaning one like that myself and nothing seemed to work, the pits are too deep and the material literally seems to suck the dirt deep in it. The weird thing is that not all 314'3 shafts have had ferrules like this that can't be cleaned even though they are the same lbm type...

    Predator cues

The Predators are good cues but for quality only you might want to take a look at Mezz. Their build quality is superb in all their cues, from the cheapest ones to the very expensive models, no exceptions

    The butt makes a difference

I'm with on you on this one. The butt makes a difference, that is rather obvious. It affects the balance, therefore plays a big role with your stroke. Not to mention all the variables with different woods and construction that affects how the cue resonates and gives that "feel" to the stroking...

Sure Elastic, new J/B tip from Germany.

Sure Elastic break tip review. I bought a sample of a new high end break tip from Germany called the Sure Elastic. It is designed with optimal breaking properties in mind and is made of black synthetic material. Installation and cutting. The tip is easy to install and no specific glue is...

    Kudos to Pechauer and Seybert's

Nice looking cue! Thanks for posting your experience dealing with both companies :)

    Best ferrule

Tomahawk is the best material I have tried so far

Has predator a cue with radial joint

Some Predators do have the Radial pin, Roadline and the limited editions like the Willie 526 serie come to mind from the top of my head. If the joint type makes any difference is up to every individual to decide for themselves. I like the radial joint personally but there is nothing that would...

    Mezz Hybrid Pro......................

^ That is odd, I reviewed the WX-A prior to official launch and I was told by Mezz rep. that the construction is more like that of WX700 and WX900 shafts and that it does not have a carbon core  I guess the only way to know for sure is to cut one in half or wait for their website to...

    BK3 Ferrule ?

The material is different. The ferrule of a BK3 has a weave to it and is much harder than that of 314'2. I'm not sure what the material used is but it is something along the lines of Aegis-2 or LBM. I can't say anything about the construction though as I've never had to replace the ferrule...

Pool tip collapsing in important tournament

That must have been frustrating beyond words :frown: Just out of curiosity, are you going to replace it with another lepro or go with a different tip?

Nice! Did ypu get sponsored by them or did you just want to try their equipment out by yourself? The fit of collars seem to quite sloppy with visible lips between parts, do they bother you at all while playing? I can't wait to hear more from you and read the complete review. Should make for...
