Predator shaft vs Mezz shaft vs ??

I didn't mean to sound quite as harsh, hence the "in my opinion". I have had issues with their shafts personally, there have been many threads here aswell with shafts warping, delaminating and ferrules breaking in half and the few cue makers that I'm friends with have shared their stories about...

    Purex jump break pin size

I believe the joint type is called Turbo Joint. Unfortunately I have no idea about the specs or where to find the tools for making a shaft for it

Predator shaft vs Mezz shaft vs ??

Stay clear of OB for starters in my opinion. Their quality hasn't been that good as of late and there is a lot of talk about issues with their products. Opinions may vary but personally I find their products not worth the money. I have tried quite a few shafts from Predator, OB, Tiger, Jacoby...

Turn old cue into break cue?

It should work perfectly fine, just put on a hard tip and you are all set. Break cue weight is a never ending debate between light and heavy but in my humble opinion it doesn't matter that much, as long as you feel comfortable swinging the thing purely  Both my break cue and play cue are...

What is the hardest white joint material

^ Because OP is asking for the hardest possible materials. Tomahawk doensn't come anywhere near the hardness of the likes of Ivorine 4 and G10. Tomahawk is a great material though, I like it a lot for ferrule applications on play shafts

Looking to purchase a cue.. J Pechauer Cues any good

Now that is one pretty cue you got in the end :) Please do let us know how it plays. The look department is definitely taken care of with that model and if it plays half as good as it looks then I think you chose well

My previous custom Prather 60" player

Nice work! I really like the shafts construction  Have you had the chance to try it out yet to see how well it plays?

Looking to purchase a cue.. J Pechauer Cues any good

And preferably with the United joint if you want to be able to use other manufacturers shafts on your cue. 5/16x14 shafts fit on the United joint butts and the joint diameter matches well with Predator shafts for example. The wavy joint Mezz cues are harder to use other than Mezz shafts on as...

Looking to purchase a cue.. J Pechauer Cues any good

I have had quite a few production cues over the past few years and your list has some of the best cues there are. Mezz is top notch, build quality and finish are simply the best there out there. Predators, Schons and Pechauers are also a safe bet, you'd be hard pressed to find a cue that plays...

    Longasy tip feedback needed

They have quite an unique hit to them, a softish and a tad muted and that will be the factor between loving them and hating them. I didn't get along too well with the Longasy mediums I tried to get used to. They played weird to me and eventually I went back to milkduds and triangles. Wether or...

    IQ Infinity LD Shaft Review

Oh, my eyes skipped a line reading your post the first time, sorry about that :embarrassed2: That sounds like a nice concept in my opinion, I've thought of something very similiar aswell but lack the equipment to make it in to reality :(

    IQ Infinity LD Shaft Review

Thanks for writing up! Good to hear you like the shaft so well  Do you know the construction method of this shaft? Having a ferrule that short made me wonder how the LD properties have been made. I'd guess it is hollowed out like most LD shafts but the ferrule would be in for a tough...

    Katana KAT10 Cue Help?

You did a good thing going with the Mezz. Their cues are superb and play consistently well regardless of model  Let us know how you like it when you get a chance to hit some balls with it

McDermott New H-Series Cue .. Very Nice.

Thanks for sharing. I'd be interested to know how the weight is locked in place. Really good idea though, thumbs up for McDermott on this one

    Any exp/review on PUREX??

PureX HXT cues play really well for their price. The build quality is not pitch perfect but the shafts do play excellent. They aren't quite as LD as Predator shafts are but they make thay up with the feel of hit. They are good value in my books :embarrassed2:

    Cuetec CF Shaft

May I ask where you got the cue? I understand it is not available for the public so clearly you have some connections  You may choose not to answer to shoot me a PM if you so prefer. Any chance you could write up an actual review, or a a bit more in depth comparasion to the Revo? I'm...
