I didn't mean to sound quite as harsh, hence the "in my opinion". I have had issues with their shafts personally, there have been many threads here aswell with shafts warping, delaminating and ferrules breaking in half and the few cue makers that I'm friends with have shared their stories about...

I believe the joint type is called Turbo Joint. Unfortunately I have no idea about the specs or where to find the tools for making a shaft for it :confused:

Stay clear of OB for starters in my opinion. Their quality hasn't been that good as of late and there is a lot of talk about issues with their products. Opinions may vary but personally I find their products not worth the money. I have tried quite a few shafts from Predator, OB, Tiger, Jacoby...

^ Because OP is asking for the hardest possible materials. Tomahawk doensn't come anywhere near the hardness of the likes of Ivorine 4 and G10. Tomahawk is a great material though, I like it a lot for ferrule applications on play shafts :smile:

Now that is one pretty cue you got in the end :) Please do let us know how it plays. The look department is definitely taken care of with that model and if it plays half as good as it looks then I think you chose well :wink:

And preferably with the United joint if you want to be able to use other manufacturers shafts on your cue. 5/16x14 shafts fit on the United joint butts and the joint diameter matches well with Predator shafts for example. The wavy joint Mezz cues are harder to use other than Mezz shafts on as...

I have had quite a few production cues over the past few years and your list has some of the best cues there are. Mezz is top notch, build quality and finish are simply the best there out there. Predators, Schons and Pechauers are also a safe bet, you'd be hard pressed to find a cue that plays...

PureX HXT cues play really well for their price. The build quality is not pitch perfect but the shafts do play excellent. They aren't quite as LD as Predator shafts are but they make thay up with the feel of hit. They are good value in my books :embarrassed2:
