Quick question, isn't it common for cues to be cored with a different type of wood in the middle than the outside? I thought this was how cue makers dealt with weight issues on some of the more exotic woods. Is that different than what was done here?

Hi, I am looking for an inexpensive 4x8 case. The purpose is purely home storage so by no means does it need to be fancy. It just needs to hold cues securely and be long enough to fit cues with joint protectors. Thanks!
