Sold Palmer Second Catalog Model D (AKA Model 11)

Yes it is. There is an almost imperceptible bit of daylight where the butt cap is. I'll get the wobble tomorrow with a dial indicator and post it here. We are having some schitty weather at the moment otherwise I'd go check it for you now Sir I'm sorry to say that a buyer who had contacted me...

Sold Palmer Second Catalog Model D (AKA Model 11)

$700/OBO Full disclosure, there is a very minor flaw in the finish on one of the points (I'll drop in a picture of it). The only other thing is the ferrule is quite yellowed and a new tip is needed. It has not been used since the 90's.

Wanted Palmer 1st catalog Model #5 What's out there

Tomorrow I'll take it to my shop and check for wobble from one end to the other. I believe it's a 13mm tip but I will double check. The finish is expectedly yellowed over time but not as horribly as other cues. I do have some pictures and I'll go look at them right now

Wanted Palmer 1st catalog Model #5 What's out there

No. Another collector suggested I clean it end to end and starch and burnish the wrap. Being perfectly honest, I think I'd clean it up w/o tearing the wrap off. But if you are interested in it to that degree, I'd go for it. I will call you. It will be a 701 area code. Have a great night brother

No worries. Brother I saved and saved while I was in the service. The sentiment of your reply was not wasted on me. So much so that I have a quote someone here told me when I asked a newbie question "When you quit, PM me and I'll buy out your shop". I wrote that on a piece of cardboard and...

    12x36 lathe

W/O offending any of the very well educated and experienced builders/craftsmen who I have depended on for advice, allow me to say that yes it is possible to use a good quality wood lathe to make a passable cue. But just like you I came in here to AZ a long time ago and was encouraged by the...
