    Aiming System Or Not?

Yeah I don’t even really think of the ghost ball method as an aiming system. To me there has to be some trick for it to really be a “system,” and not necessarily a BS trick. Counting diamonds and adding numbers is a kicking system, and I think that’s a good system.

    Rule question

You all are forgetting about the part in those rules that says “use his cue stick to align a shot…” It isn’t a foul, under those rules, to lay your stick on the table to go get an extension. Under CSI league rules it’s not even a foul to lay the cue down to align a shot (Section 1-3 use of...

PREDATOR AND CUESPORTS INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH THE US PRO BILLIARD SERIES

There are lots of other ways to advertise and use sponsorship. I’d say little patches on the shirt during play are a pretty poor way of doing it. And fights and petty rules over it are a super-poor and self-destructive way of doing it. CSI and Predator’s “for any reason” rule goes too far IMO.

    Rule question

The other side of this is that some people will try to call a foul if you set the cue down just to go get a jump cue.

PREDATOR AND CUESPORTS INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH THE US PRO BILLIARD SERIES

mikepage it looks like you’re going to have a FargoRate-like system as part of the rankings for this series. In theory, could a player who wins the tournament get fewer points than another player who played better but gets knocked out? Or maybe a player who wins a tournament by crushing top...

It’s got to be a streaming service and not something a cable provide will carry. “Currently available?”

PREDATOR AND CUESPORTS INTERNATIONAL LAUNCH THE US PRO BILLIARD SERIES

A couple of things that stood out to me: • Several events are held in the Midwest rather than everything in Vegas. One in Puerto Rico! • In 2021 the big CSI event was rescheduled from March to September, and so there’s both the Diamond event and then the World 10-ball during that two-week...

    World Pool Masters (22-25 May2021) Winner $25K

In this case though, Filler’s two wins came after misses by SVB that left wide-open connect-the-dot tables.

    World Pool Masters (22-25 May2021) Winner $25K

According to most of the (Brit) commentators, only a snooker background keeps your fundamentals solid. One thing that Chris Melling always says when he's commentating is "he missed because he jumped up on the shot," which I think is mostly not true. Of course you see causal players...

    World Pool Masters (22-25 May2021) Winner $25K

Five of the six players in the first session had 100% long pot success. And the only one who didn’t, Grabe, won his match! Pot success/long pot success Lechner: 97%/100% (Winner) Fortunski: 100/100 Ouschan: 96/100 Grabe: 97/80 (Winner) Shaw: 93/100 Feijen: 97/100 (Winner) Five of six players...

    World Pool Masters (22-25 May2021) Winner $25K

It’s funny that they’re reporting “long pot success” as if it’s a snooker match. Most of the time the “long pot success” has been higher than the “pot success,” which just shows that it’s a meaningless distinction.

    World Pool Masters (22-25 May2021) Winner $25K

It took some guts to give Alcaide the bank that won him the previous Master’s. On the other hand, it was a serious mental error by Skyler on the previous shot to get in that spot.

Why do pros do bar box tournaments? Serious reply's only

7-ft tables probably outnumber 9-footers in the US 10 to 1. And tournaments run on 7-footers probably outnumber tournaments on 9-footers 5-1. If they want to play in tournaments, they’re going to play on some 7-footers.

World Cup Of Pool (9-14 May2021) $250K Prizemoney

Yeah I’ve noticed that some of the players are playing with the speed and approach as if they’re really in stroke. But they’re all kind of out of practice, and it’s going to take a while to get back in the zone. Right now they‘re going to have to slow down a little and play more conservatively...
