What do you all think about the non-wood butt? I have a rhino cue I bought for just the shaft and I'm not a fan. Shaft plays fine on my good wood cue and can't stand the feel of it on the rhino butt. Rhino butt.

I think Longoni has a carbon centered wood shaft years back too.

I had some mushrooming with the G2 hard, though I am whacking 3c balls around and I'm not a gentle man.

Not sure if he ever used uni lock, but he did pretty much any joint the customer wanted, both material and thread type wise

The durability is great. I've tempted the carbon gods a few times, dropping the (rhino) cue to the (carpeted) floor for a joke when some crazy pool thing happens. I'm not doing that again but damn, was it fun.
