honestly the only use for joint protectors aside from asthetics is sometimes its hard to pull the cue out of the case if you have it joint up, and with some cases with deep cue holes (for lack of a better term) shafts are too short for them and will get stuck in the case forcing you to screw...

you don't know many pro players. you'd be surprised by the number of big names in pro pool that have dumped/are willing to dump in matches, be it tourneys or gambling. honestly, it's that type of underhandedness thats one of the factors keeping the good sponsors away from pool.

well, adding a calcutta to the payouts make the total purse a lot bigger than the winning pool. if he bought himself im sure with the amount of bids going for him he had to shell out 2k just to buy himself as there was no other players of his caliber there.
