    Table Lighting Battle

Thanks for the ideas. When the wife realized I wasn't giving in and we needed a dedicated light, she folded. Not a full-on LED but a 4 light lamp with LED bulbs. The final Gold Crown setup is nice.

    Table Lighting Battle

This angle is from the rack side. The dead center of the table will be slightly off from hanging wires (further from the dartboard) to allow for proper cue movement). The table will have about a foot from bumper edge to where the lights start. Right now I have 90W, 1295 Lumen, 2700K BR40s...

    Table Lighting Battle

Appreciate the offer, but panels are a no go. I’ve debated adjustable recessed lights so I can angle them. Not sure if it would be problematic and shine into my eyes when playing.

Where did you place the bulbs? If I use BR40 bulbs they are near the edge of the recessed cans, so more like ceiling surface level lights.

    Table Lighting Battle

Tried again, her reaction was a look of “no way in hell”. She has been great about every other aspect I’ve done (tv, stereo, 9ft table) so I’m trying to make her happy on this one.

Can I get away with recessed lighting surrounding the outside of a 9ft table? We have a low basement ceiling and my wife is pushing back on installing a hanging table light. We have recessed lighting all over the ceiling and there would be 6 lights around the table (about 1 ft from the edges)...

    First Cue Help $100-$200

Another question I have is about cue weight. I typically played with a 20oz cue back in the day. Now that am learning and researching, I am leaning towards a 19oz cue that my wife and I will share (for now) and use on 9ft table. Does this sound like a good weight to start with?

    First Cue Help $100-$200

I really appreciate all of the feedback and recommendations. Looking at tips, when I buy the cue should I upgrade right from the start? The Players comes with a Le Pro leather tip the Schmelke with an Elk Master Soft Tip.

    First Cue Help $100-$200

We finally have the space to add a decent pool table and would like to find a solid first cue. I have a few one piece cues for friends and and some for my kids, but the wife and I both enjoy playing and would like something a little better. Researched a bunch reviews and manufacturers; thought...
