2022 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

Nice shooting in both videos. It seems like the rails on this table are fast. What kind of anniversary knockoff is it? I have a similar problem with the plumber impression too. I buy extra long shirts and they stop it for a while then shrink and I'm back to square one 😒.

    Jumping up on shots, reconsidered.

I think it happens both ways. We swing, have poor 'balance', and we jump up to correct the poor 'balance' feeling. The poor balance caused the miss before the jump up but depending upon when the jump happens it affects how bad of an outcome it results. It can be the result of other things...

True warrior? Or social media diva? The root of the Jayson Shaw debate.

His first post was a video of him running a rack. I responded that I hated the editing and he responded 'go die'. It took one fricking 3 sentence post saying I didn't like how his videos flashing crap around while watching to get told to die by him. So here it goes: 1. Admit or deny on...

True warrior? Or social media diva? The root of the Jayson Shaw debate.

Oh yes I'm sure it is 100% how it happened. If you want I can show the posts... But you probably don't want that because you already would have if what you are implying was true. Go make more videos where you lie to your fans that you can sustain B&Ring 50% of your racks for 30 racks in a row...

    Heated tables?

I've seen system for heating for sale on the web they cost about $1500. They are basicalkly small wires that go under the slate and a unit that electrfies them. It takes like 3 days for the slate to heat up...

    10 foot table too fast

UPDATE: I played on the table again last weekend for the first time during the winter and it played a lot better. The cueball still jumped if it was hit really fast into the rail but it was playing about 4.5 table lengths and overall was playable. The cueball wasnt jumping on normal shots as...

    Needed or not?

If you always remove the cue from the case on the table and dis/assemble it on the table you wont. I had my cue's butt get dropped one time while putting it back in the case luckily it had a joint protector....

A new model for 14.1 High runs?

BCA specs are still a problem: Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Pocket Specifications Corner Pocket. Mouth: 4 1/8” minimum to 5 1/8” maximum. ... Side Pocket. Mouth between 4 7/8” minimum to 5 5/8” maximum. ... The upper side is just too large, even if they require a 1 5/8" shelf and 140...

Could a B player run 100 balls on the world record table?

Having the event in zero humidity vegas and using a template rack is more than just having good balls, good cloth and easy pockets.

True warrior? Or social media diva? The root of the Jayson Shaw debate.

Dig at John Schmidt (juiced table), Mosconi (8 foot table) and whoever put on the high run challenge (super juiced table). It wasn't Jayson's idea to put the table together. John on the other hand...

True warrior? Or social media diva? The root of the Jayson Shaw debate.

Recently a youtube contributor on another pool board claimed in one of his videos he breaks and runs 30-50% of his racks on a good day. I have watched him enough and he obviously doesn't from how hard he makes relatively easy things. So I called him out on it. The response wasn't pretty. He...

Could a B player run 100 balls on the world record table?

Uhh, I was replying to a guy who said a B+ can't even do it with the balls scattered by hand. It is pretty much established that they can. The question was about straight pool.

Could a B player run 100 balls on the world record table?

There is a big difference in difficulty when the balls are scattered by hand vs breaking them.

Could a B player run 100 balls on the world record table?

Of course they could run 100 scattering the balls on the table give me a break. I would expect this to be well in the ability of a B+.

Could a B player run 100 balls on the world record table?

So what size pockets are you playing on? I recommend playing straight pool with sub 4.5" corner and sub 5" side pockets then come back and talk about it more... They specifically cut the angles really easy on the world record table so anything that makes it into the mouth falls. Along with...
