Do you know anyone that has been banned from a pool room?

I frequent pool halls around the world, and all have people who aren't welcome. The most common reasons are fighting, excessive drinking, and not paying gambling debts. The last two usually are what leads to the first.

    The cue and young you

When I started collecting cues, I thought the ultimate cue would be an original Balabushka in the original box from the original owner. It took me years to find one, and when I did, top collectors begged me to sell it to them. I ended up selling it for 5X what I paid, thinking I would find...

That built in cellar holds over 200 bottles plus a few dozen Magnums. Right now I've got magnums of 8 Years In The Desert along with bottles of it and other Orin Swift wines. When I'm in Europe I buy Sassicaia and good French wines to bring back. For normal consumption I've got Decoy...

Thank you. I never even thought about that. My friends & I play at a high enough level that balls rarely get off the table. I'll take my chances for now & we'll see how it goes...

This is still a work in progress in my new house. Wine cellar/pool room with a GC4 & light. Simonis cloth & Centennial balls. Still need to get a few Brunswick Centennial Spectator Chairs and a bar/table for drinks. Also have a bunch of billiard art/memorabilia to put on the walls. Will be...

Can I see your pool table lights?

My Billiard Room/Wine Cellar/Man Cave is still a work in progress. First was a new TSR floor, then a Brunswick GC Tournament light with LED bulbs. My Tournament GC4 goes in next month. I took this pic right after my electrician & I got the light mounted.

    How does a cue play?

Back in the day, the way a cue played was mostly about "the hit", which describes the sound & feel of a cue when it hits the ball. At that point the cue becomes a percussion instrument, and the sound & feel reveals the quality of the materials and construction. The sound & feel of a great hit...

    Pool Tourism

Bangkok is best. About a half dozen nice pool rooms with well kept 9 foot tables within a square mile on lower Sukhumvit. Girls rack the balls for you, and there is action all the time. Tournaments and/or leagues every day…

Maynard "Rip" Parrish. Rest in Peace.

He is from Monmouth Illinois. The older local players still remember him. Best player to come out of Monmouth since Ralf Greenleaf.
