    Moral/Rules Question

If it's a straight in/one foot from the pocket, which pocket does anybody think he will call? I'd say your guy is a whiner and he lost fair and square.

Best Spot/Area to Break From in 8-Ball!!

Corey Dueul would say use the 2nd ball break, he just smoked a good field of players undefeated. Most players are 2/3 inches from center table like a 10 ball break. Hit em hard and keep whitey in the middle of the table.

    Tucson Pool Rooms?

Hi Bob, 20 years ago I would say Clicks was the best place, but times have changed. Pockets has 8 Diamond 9 ft tables and a few Gold Crowns which are slow but sure getting replaced. I would go to Pockets on Wilmot/22nd area. They also have a pretty good BLT and Italian Grinder sandwiches. w/...

Looking up Fargo ratings for multiple players are a time

We typically just look people up as they enter a weekly/monthly tournament. Write their number next to name in bracket. This may be 15 to 30 players. I'm curious, why would you need to look up a couple thousand people all at once?

    Worth on my Zinzola

His cues had a reputation of playing great. Unfortunately he has a bad rep.... But prices are based on supply/demand. Right now there is no demand for his cues because of his rep. In a couple years people will forget about the maker and just look at how the cue plays...and from what I hear is...

Cue stolen out of box Priority Mail

Yep, what he said ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I've been in the USPS for over 32 years now. If you want security like no other, ship using "registered mail". Every person who touches it will have to sign for it and it is separated from the regular mail stream. It does not go through any processing...

9' table... Real world room size needed

This question comes up about every 6 months or so. I go by my personal experience... You need a 15'x20' room to have room for a back stroke. My old house had a pool room of 16'x19.5' and believe me, it really need 6" more. Hundreds of times I heard cues hitting the wall. My new place has a pool...

Jay Helfert says 'Every other day to keep your speed up'...

I have a 9ft Diamond table in my house so practicing is no trouble. But honestly, I probably play a little(15/20 minutes) at least every day or every other day. It's enough to keep my stroke fluid and feeling confident. If I have a big match or tournament coming up, I'll play 45 minutes or an...

    Hairline ferrule crack

This is not entirely true. I have a 1st generation predator and it had the same issue, hairline crack in the ferrule. I contacted Predator and they told me to send it to them and the ferrule would cost $40 plus tip. I am the original/only owner of this shaft for 10 years. That doesn't sound like...

    Beware of USPS

JAM, I think you are confusing registered mail with certified mail? Certified is usually for important documents that somebody wants a signature on. This service goes through normal mail stream and gets a signature upon delivery. Registered is for high dollar merchandise which requires...

    Beware of USPS

Hi Dick, You should stick to discussing 1 Pocket, a topic you know about. I've worked for the USPS for over 32 years now. I can assure you, since 1971 we receive no tax dollars from anybody. We were changed from the US Postal Department to the US Postal Service when Nixon signed all the...

    Average pro break speed...

It really depends on what game they are playing. If you are playing 9 ball with a magic rack, 16 to 17 is plenty. All you want to do is make the wing ball and get shape on the 1 in the corner. If you are playing 10 ball or 8 ball, you have to hit it harder, this is where you will see break...

    Best all around player ever?

I will have to agree with ya :) If I had to pick just one though.....I would say Nick Varner. Just based on titles alone. Efren Reyes has to be at the top of the heap also.... His game has been at very high level for soooo many years, we almost get tired of hearing it...Well not really :)

How does a player get an Established Fargo rating?

To get a Fargo rating, the best way is to play in some tournaments that get put into the system. This is a great site that is used here in Tucson. http://leaguepoolstats.com/main/index.php From their home page you can make a login and their templates for tournies. Once your tournament is over...

    Tony Chohan vs Dennis Orcullo

I watched much of the last match with Dennis and Scott. We all know that Dennis can shoot straighter than almost any human, but I was watching his cue ball. After the first day, he had the cue ball on a string almost 99.9% of the time. He had Scott stuck on the rail or in the stack quite a few...

When will the Southwest cue market come crashing down?

Basically, it's supply and demand. They have a waiting list about 12 years long, last I checked. This means I will be collecting social security before I would get one if I ordered today..... So, until the wait list goes to 1 year or less, I don't see their prices going down.
