    APA rule question

Yes, but how does their opponent even let this happen? Seems like 2 drunks not paying attention to the game.

Time to rethink jump cues again?

I have no problem with jump cues. It has changed the way we play safeties also. Instead of just leaving a ball between the Q ball and object ball, you must try to keep the Q ball within a couple inches of the blocker ball. What was a good safety 20 years ago is an easy jump. A good safety today...

It's not wood, so you can just use a damp cloth. It's carbon fiber, moisture will not hurt it.

Money Match Promotions signs Earl, Shaw, Sky, SVB

I highly doubt that this company will have exclusive rights to these players pool careers. Maybe it's just an agreement while playing a match hosted by this company. Similar to a user agreement. Time will tell.....

    Tim Scruggs logo history

I had a sneaky from 1989. I'm no expert but I believe the sneakies were from 1988 to 1992. There are others who would know exactly what years they were produced.

Skip Maloney's coverage of Brittany Bryant's winning of the WPBA Blue Emu open.

I'm taking away one important detail here. Jennifer B. likes to play at a slower pace. Any money matches with her may involve a shot clock if her opponent knows it affects her this much. I'm calling BS! Any tournament I've ever played in has time consideration. If somebody is playing at a slow...

Please elaborate on the essence of the original Balabushka cues.

I had the opportunity to play with one back in the mid 80's. A guy by the name of Alton owned one at the local pool hall I frequented. He wasn't a good pool player but he really enjoyed the game. We were playing some 9 ball and he asked if I wanted to try his cue? After running a few balls I...

Our Bar Rules and Playing System

Not sure why everybody is bustin the OP's chops over their local rules. He said it is fun and quarters are lined up for other wanting to play. As long as you learn their rules, no problem. I used to play in many local bars years ago and they were willing to bet $2, $5 or $10 a game. I would...

    Joining/forming teams for BCAPL Championships?

As far as getting established for BCAPL Nationals, you are required to play 8 weeks of league to get 40 games minimum. Tournaments have nothing to do with getting to Nationals. I know the team requirements have changed and they opened up who can be on a team. It used to be limited to just...

Do you actually read the stuff you type? I've read many of your posts that simply spout out science and supposed facts about energy transfer, squirt, deflection, etc... Do you ever get out and play pool?

What % of players can run 100+ in straight pool

14.1 in it's prime, back in the 40's thru 70's, I would say 100 ball runners were common for Pros. Nowdays it is rarely played. If any Pro player put some time into learning the patterns, they could run 100 balls just like the Pros of years ago. Times have changed and so did the pool games...
