My northpaw stroke is definitely nowhere near as smooth and I tend to reserve it for those times where the OB is a virtual hanger. FWIW I am somewhat ambidextrous, though, so I could probably hone it sharper with time.

For what it's worth, I'm originally from just outside the Seattle city limits in what is now Shoreline, Washington. Moved from there about 100 miles north to Lynden on a full-time basis in 2004 (bought the house in '01 which is now paid off). And now that my house IS paid off, it's fine time...

Eric- I do hope your heart condition completely heals, having some minor issues myself in comparison I can relate to some degree. As others have said, that is one incredible place you have- truly breathtaking.

In my half-century on this orb, I have found that- in the long run- it always pays to be a gentleman. It seems that whenever I choose not to be so, I may appear to win short-term but over the long haul the negative consequences tend to outdo it by a considerable margin.

My personal opinion is that 45 seconds is just right; 30 is not sufficient, 60 is excessive. One extension per rack. And any sharking attempt by using a rotary dial phone to distract would be automatic DQ (man, oh, man, that thread sure got the techno-geek gears in me turning again :D)
