    Dreaming about Pool

Amazing. I read this thread by Joey A and sat at my keyboard for quite a while trying to remember if I ever did dream about pool and can't even to now recall one single dream about pool. The amazing thing is that I've been around pool for most of my life and can't remember one single dream. I...

I seem to recall that there was a thread about this a while back. I think it was Corey Duell doing this in a big tournament. I might be wrong.

man witnessed sad action last night - 2 idiots in a pool room

The truth is that what you say is the truth. There is beauty also in watching two players hustling each other and hiding their speed and as time goes on both games get better because neither one wants to get stuck. No profit if you get stuck and trying to at least get even. Many times they will...

Fargo Breakdown - Singles @ BCAPL Nationals

I'm one of the super seniors that is not going. They expect that I should play like I did 30 years ago. Not happening. See how it goes and maybe next year if they make some adjustments.

Adding one pocket to Mosconi events?

I think the format should stay as it is until we prove that we can win with some consistency. Changing the format to add one pocket may be ok but not now. It would look like we're changing the rules because we can't win with the way it is now. Let's prove that we can win and then add some one...

    Earl Strickland

IMO Earl was the best nine baller I've ever seen. Bar none. I believe that the things that make him whacky are the things that made so good on the table.

That roll off looks like it happen at the seam where the slates come together. Maybe the slate was cracked and repaired at that spot. Seen it before.

Diamond 7 footer vs. Valley bar box APA rules

Well said. Even though the stats on runouts are smaller on the Valley tables with APA rules because of the "you got what you make" rules. Those stats are huge when you play open after the break with either table, more so on the Valley tables.

    Tip

Since it's their job and they like them low then it's justified for them to change them more regular than most of us. With the cost of new tips these days most of us like them a little higher so that we can get our money's worth from them.
